  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Love Dakota Grizzly's super soft, thick hoody.

This is not breathable clothing, by any means. I was splitting logs in 30 degree weather and was sweating up a storm in the Sherpa fleece. Nonetheless, it's awesome when it comes to lounging around fireside.

While the XXL fits me fine at 6' 230, the cuffs do start creeping up when I'm being active.

sick hoodie

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I've owned way too many hoodies(billabong, DC, moosejaw) at this point and this one is by far the best. both the sherpa lining and jersey cotton are crazy soft and comfortable and yet the hoodie looks boss. (as opposed to a hipster or 12 years old) these reviews based on size are silly. I can't wear north face stuff as its too tall and slim for me but I'm not going to trash them for it. I'm 5'7", 170lbs, 40" chest with short stocky arms and Grizzly medium fits me better than any other brand (which is priceless). The flannels fit me like a glove, this hoody has a little bit of room.

My favorite sweatshirt!

I am 5'10 185 lbs and bought a Medium which fits awesome. I wear it in the winter with a T-shirt and Flannel on and it is very warm and comfortable. It even does a half decent job of blocking wind.

As others have stated, fleece is only in the main body area, which I thought was going to look goofy when on, but you can't even tell. I know I wear it under 32 F pretty often and it is perfect for a quick run around town.

    Looks sharp, but...

For a simple insulated zip-up hooded jacket, this works. It is aesthetically appealing and has sherpa-inspired insulation in the torso and hood (but not in the sleeves). The problem with this is the cut. I have a 43-inch chest and average-sized arms. recommends a large for me based on my measurements, but it's snug around the chest when full zipped (with only a t-shirt on underneath) and tight in the bicep area. I recommend this as something to wear out in the yard or on quick trips around town. Avoid this if you are looking for something loose-fitting and comfortable to wear in the house or for functionality (unless you are of average build). Size up if you are built like me.

      Sizing is misleading

I usually have great success with gear, but this jacket will be going back. I don't believe the sizing is correct. I ordered an XL for my daughter's boyfriend (6'4", slim build)and it is WAY too small. All the other XL clothing I bought him fit great. I'm disappointed too that I have to pay for return shipping.
The quality of the jacket is good; but the sizing missed the boat.
I should have gotten a North Face jacket as I had intended.

Are the sleeves sherpa lined also?
