31 inch Inseam is too long for me. Can it be shorten by couple of inches? How do people adjust Inseam length, if too long?

You can just hem the pants even with the cuff. You can either take it on yourself as a sewing project or if that seems daunting take it to a local seamstress or tailor who can do it for a few bucks and rather quickly.

If you are wanting to adjust it yourself I would recommend being experienced at sewing because its about two cross stitches on the back that folds just as much as you need in and resew the spot, but I will say its a lot of extra work. I would just keep searching for a smaller pair or a different pair. Hope this helps you out!

Does the leg opening have zippers that run up the side of the leg? Because if not, how are you suppose to convert them into shorts without taking your boots off?

The legs do not have side zips and you would have to take off your boots. I'm not sure any company makes a traditional convertible pant with a side zip.

Best Answer

The short list, most traditional cut, a few cargo, but all with hem zips that will let you remove the legs, or even the entire pant, with boots on:

Marmot Cruz

Kuhl Liberator

TNF Peak

TNF Horizon

OR Equinox

MHW Mesa

MHW Matterhorn (if they still make them)

MHW Portino

Columbia Silver Ridge

The Liberators, Matterhorns, Portinos and Cruzs are my favorites for their fit, function and pockets that don't flop around when you have them full of whatever you have them full of.

Hope this helps.

Not my style of material, design, color

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it

To me these pants look and feel like dickies work clothes...ok it is softer, but looks and feels the same to me. The material seems it wauld be pretty worm and I am not seeing it to be quick-drying, but that is what my assumption is after feeling the material as I never actually hiked in it. The grey hues is exactly the same as work clothes look. It was kind of baggy and short for me. I am 6.1 and 174lbs. I returned this without using it.

The best thing about these....

Not only are they durable, but they are also highly durable! The department of redundancy department must have written the item description.
