Are the sleeves lined in Sherpa?

I love Dakota Grizzly

  • Gender:Male
  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

Long gone are the days when Dakota Grizzly was an obscure emerging brand that was priced so reasonably that you paused to ponder what the quality would be like. I work outdoors during the winter months on the Great Plains, and you learn quickly that well assembled clothing made of quality material is essential. I wear and trust Duluth Trading Co., Cabelas and Wolverine, but no company fits so well and is as warm as my Dakota Grizzly flannel shirts. The cut of the shirt is wonderful and fits terrifically. When actively using your arms the shirt does not bind up and untuck itself from your waist band leaving your lower back to brave the cold. I wear this shirt once if not twice a week come the winter months, meaning it is washed frequently. If one follows the care instructions printed on the label I can attest that this garment will hold up, not only to the wear and tare of a farm but the brutality of a washing machine.

Why are the colors moss and slate identical in the Mack flannel? I liked the shirt so much I wanted another but didn't expect the exact same color.

Are they not the same as their photos? In the photos, the Slate is distinctly gray, almost blue in color as opposed to the Moss' green. It's possible your order was messed up, but if the colors are in fact the same, that's a perfect reason to write a review.

not for lumberjacks

why do lumberjacks wear flannel? anyone whose seriously chopped wood knows that it's a seriously aerobic activity. wear some wicking fabric, for god sakes! if you're not lumberjacking, wear this shirt. uninformed people will tell you you look manly, like a lumberjack.

Given as a Christmas Gift

Purchased for my dad. He's been looking for a warm jacket that's not necessarily a coat and this fit the bill. He's been liking it so far; he finds it well-made, warm, and very comfortable. I suspect he cold washes it then puts it to hang dry like he does with most clothes he owns. This is an everyday jacket for him. Highly recommended.

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I wore this as a mid-layer while hunting in temps +/- zero and it was amazing. Will probably never wear a fleece again now that I have this thing.

Runs a little large. Although, most Dakota Grizzly XXL shirts are too tight on my shoulders. So, it's nice having one I can actually raise my arms in.

80% Jacket, 20% shirt... 100% Rad!

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:Runs large

Really burly warm jacket/shirt. Lining is awesome and very soft. Fits a little big, the medium (smallest size) is a big bigger than I'd like but still worth snaggin.

killer shirt
