With your board and boots traveling safely in the fully padded DAKINE Tour Snowboard Bag, your next winter trip will be a piece of cake. Two exterior pockets hold your boots and have enough room for smaller items like goggles as well. The DAKINE Tour Snowboard Bag uses a full-length zipper to allow easy access to your precious ride and lockable zipper tabs to keep shady travelers out of your stuff.
Bottom Line: Treat your board to the protection it deserves.
Went on a week and a half trip to Park City, and I was able to pack all my stuff into this bag, which is great now that all the airlines charge you per bag. This bag was the best bang for the buck. One of the least expensive padded bags I found.
This is the best bag for under $45 that I found. PROS: Pockets are great. Tarp on the inside is waterproof. CONS: Watch out for rust on your edges because it does not have any ventilation, I just dry off my board before I pack it. Definitely recommend it for the casual traveler.

naa. you don't want to go too small because you are going to likely pack other stuff in the bag too. the difference in size is actually very small. i would go with the 157. i went with the 165 with my board (which is a 157) and it fits perfectly.
i bought a 157 bag and it fit my 156 burton perfectly with bindings attached. took this on a cross country flight and the bag held up well. separate dual boot compartments are great, which the burton bags do not have. i had enough room to fit my pants, jacket, fleece, and gloves without the bag feeling overstuffed, allowing me to use my regular luggage for everyday clothes. i was originally going to buy a bag with wheels, but it didn't seem necessary during my trip.
Are there straps inside the bag to keep the board in place? Do the compartments that holds the shoes pertrude out? If I have a Burton X 2008 board 156 cm mid size I believe, should i even bother with the 157cm bag or should I just go with the 165cm bag?
Excellent sack for your stick. Good zippers.....just enough room for size 11 boots - any bigger might be a bit of a cram. My only complaint is that it could have used a bit thicker padding on the edge side opposite of the carrying handle. After loading it up, there was a distinct "thunk" when I set it on the pavement the first time.....since then I have placed my pants, jackets and other soft stuff on the bottom and I am "thunkless".
Dakine is a reputable company and their measurements should be on. If anything you could give them the benefit of the doubt and possibly go bigger. If you did have any problems you can always return it to Backcountry.
Plenty of room for my board, bindings, and boots. Still plenty extra room for my backpack, helmet, and clothes. Love the individual compartments for the boots, keeps the dirt from your boots away from all your other stuff. Very satisfied.

Does this guy have a shoulder strap? Can't see one in the picture and the description doesn't mention it...Also looking for a bag that'll fit my board, boots, helmet, etc. I ride a 158 and was thinking that the 165 would probably do the trick. Any insight out there for me?
A great bag for traveling. I went to Colorado for a few weeks and needed a bag big enough to perfectly fit my 50' board+all snowboarding gear (boots, goggles, snow pants, snow jacket etc). I didn't even have to take my suitcase cause Dakine was big enough for the rest of my stuff ;o))) Very satisfied with my purchase!
Alright guys, this bag has become my new best friend. It's well made, with a lot of room for your extra snowboarding necessities. I was able to pack for a weeks long boarding trip to Alaska all in this bag! Check it out!
I purchased this bag to fly across the country with my board (I got a 157 bag and my board is 148 I think... I got a bigger bag in case I want a bigger board in the near future) and it was perfect! It held my board with the bindings, and the compartments had enough room to hold a sweatshirt, gloves, hats, socks, etc. (granted I have very small boots). I also was able to fit my jacket and ski pants in the large compartment with the board. It was easy to carry, and my board is still in great condition. I would highly recommend this bag!
I picked up the 165cm for my 160cm board and it doesn't seem too big for the board. I can put my board, boots and some light clothes inside with ease. The tarp-lined inside keeps moisture from soaking into the material. And the padding is more than good enough for airline travel.
This bad is the perfect bag for anyone who wants to snowboard and protect their investment. Lots of room to put gloves goggles snowpants. Boots fit into their places. Great buy!!!
The 165 fits my 159wide perfect, Buy larger than you expect. Good construction, some padding. Boot lockers Fit my size 11.5s with ease. All zippers are lockable. Helmet and basic gear will fit inside with board. Overall I am very happy.
Well, I just used my new board bag on a wekk long trip to Garmisch, Germany. I think it's a pretty good product. I had returned a previous bag because my board wouldn't fit inside of it with the bindings installed. The Dakine bag held it just fine. Also, the boot pockets are very roomy, and I took to staching other stuff in them, like my gloves. You could probably cram a helmet in next to one of your boots if you tried. I'm very happy with this bag and rated it 5-stars, but bear in mind that my experience is limited.
