Tough cotton canvas material and a leather shoulder strap make the DAKINE Station Bag burly enough to handle your daily grind. This is one of my fav bags ever. Simple, classic, modern, and tough. I have virtually no apparent wear and I use it almost every day (going on 1.5 years now). The construction is simple (which I prefer) with only a few compartments. If you use this for papers, softcover books, of a laptop, be aware that there is no padding or shape formation.
Cool bag but the shoulder strap sucks

The bag looks really good and has cool compartments. The problem is the leather part of the strap. The shoulder strap "sheds". You get white/brown bits on your shirt from the shoulder strap. The bits also get on the bag, which looks bad when you have the black model.
I'm trying to find a way to fix it. If it wasn't for the shedding shoulder strap, it would be a perfect bag.

I really like the look of this bag. What I don't like is how it does not hold it's shape. As long as I have my laptop inside the bag looks good and has shape. When I only have my books and folders it's like I might as well be carrying around a gunny sack. Otherwise nice bag. The leather strap doesn't bother me either.
Change me.
