I had been looking for the perfect suitcase for nearly two years. This is one was great -- very stylish (I ordered the Cheetah print) and fit all my crap for a week-long trip to Vegas.
The bag itself is pretty huge -- but as a notorious over-packer, I knew I needed the extra space. The compartments on the inside are great -- the bottom half opens up to one big section and the top half is split into three parts -- two smaller sections on either side (great for undies, socks and other small things) and the middle part is easily long enough to fit my tall Uggs without having to fold them over.
I had all sections full -- was just able to close the zippers on the mesh cover (good strong zippers too!) and even better than that, I was also able to throw a few more shirts in between the closed sections before zipping the outer zippers.
This bag is great -- especially if you pack a lot!
I definitely recommend to anyone looking for the perfect funky and functional suitcase.

I recently received a Dakine Split Large Roller Bag for my Birthday and I just took the bag to San Francisco. I was wondering why it doesn't stand up. I was constantly laying it down then I would have to get the handle out when I was moving from a different location. Very frustrating. I love the bag, its colour and I am disappointed it wouldn't stand up. Please help me out.

I have this bag and the same issue. It doesn't stand up properly on it's own unless you pack all your heavy items on the bottom of the bag. Nevertheless, it's a frustrating issue to deal with. Agreed, bag is great with its compartment and look, however, would not recommend this bag.

For the price this is a great travel bag. It also contains different compartments when opened, which has helped me stay quite organized while traveling. It is great for keeping my dirty cloths and shoes separate from all of my clean clothing. This bag also does not separate into two different pieces as the content written above is incorrect. In addition, this bag is awesome for spotting on the airport conveyor belt and hard for someone to sneak away with your luggage. I choose the Clubhouse Plaid/Brown color and purchased the DAKINE Overhead Bag - 2500cu in. - Women's as a matching set.

No it does not. Only unzips to utilize the two compartments.
Go w/ the convertible if you want the two bag option.

Love love love this bag. It just got in and I was very excited to get it, since we are going on a trip over Christmas. I can totally see that all my stuff fits in this bag, shoes and all. I think this is one of my best buys of the season. I got it in Duxbury Stripe and think that was a pattern that was discontinues, because it was only 118 US$. I'm a little disappointed that I cannot find the overhead bag in this pattern and color, but I might go for the Cheetah, since that is black and will match with anything.
