The DAKINE Slimline pack is a feminine-styled sling/messenger bag with a slew of external pockets to organize everything from your CD/MP3 player and music to your cell phone, pens, magazines, and papers. These external pockets ride next to your body when carrying the bag; the main compartment is a gaping cavern for stowing all your other goods. Magnetic clasps make access super easy.

Bottom Line: A great all-around sling bag with classic DAKINE style.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

I absolutely LOVE this Slimline Sling bag! It is the perfect size for all of the stuff I was trying to cram into my purse, plus it's a lot cooler and all of the pockets are just fantastic. Love the color, too!!

Great Slimline pack

The magnetic closure is the best component of this pack. It is wonderful not to deal with snaps, zippers, or velco. The adjustable strap is also a plus. This pack is great for everyday use, whether shopping or sight seeing. It is the perfect size for a few essentials for myself and my two children that are 3 years old and 8 months old. I have received many comments about the cute pink accent color on the inside of my black slimline pack. Thanks Backcountry.

Just what I was looking for

By:

The Dakine Slimline bag is just what I was looking for in a shoulder bag: Not too big (I'm a small person, and I find that other similar kinds of bags are giant on me), No Velcro (loud & sticks to stuff--annoying! The magnetic closure is really handy), & Plenty of compartments for my stuff. Great design!

Small, but usable.

This bag was everything I expected, except the strap turned out a different material than the picture showed as well as the strap adjusters (they were some metal instead of the typical plastic that you find on most backpacks/school bags). The organizers are great and you'd be surprised how much you can fit into this cute, little bag. I would recommend buying this bag!

I love this bag

This bag isn't just a bag, my gear all stashes away nice and neat, plenty of interior room and a flat outside pocket for all my misc. paperwork! PDA fits fine and compartments for phone or whatever else you need to carry. As a mother of a 2-year-old, it’s nice to be able to carry some of his stuff with me instead of his giant bag!!

Sweet Sweet Slimline

This is a great bag that keeps its shape well and has many versatile pockets. The main compartment has a zipper which is especially nice; when you shift the bag you don't have to worry about loosing all the stuff you have inside. I like the magnetic closure for the flap. When you're in a hurry you can just put the flap down and the magnets automatically find their way back together. Overall a very cool and functional bag.

Messenger Bag

By:

I bought this bag for an elderly friend of mine that is taking a jewelry making class and complained that she couldn't find a bag with many compartments to carry her stuff to class. I gave it to her for her birthday and she said it was perfect: the size, the shape, the compartments and the fact that it could be carried across her chest with the opening toward her. She is thrilled with the Messenger bag, and I'm delighted that you had it there for me to buy for her. Thanks.

Messenger Bag

I love the bag, however the stitching on the flap started unravelling. Not worth the money, as it seems to be cheaply put together.

My Daughter Loves this Bag

By: Backcountry.com Employee

We bought this pack for our 12 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. Turns out her friends do too. I asked her what she likes about it. She said because it's adjustable, it has all kinds of pockets, and it holds more books that her old backpack. This is a great back-to-school pack.
