The pack is great. Great Dakine quality and attention to detail. Lots of useful pockets and section to hold specific gear (like a bike pump). I'm having trouble getting the hydration bag to flow. It seems to kink up every time I put on the pack but flow when I take it off to find the problem.

I was hesitant and initially wanted to buy a similarly sized Osprey Raptor, but I'm glad I picked up this one instead!!
I use it for dayhikes and long road bike rides. What I love about this pack is that it's constructed in a manner that makes the storage space VERY versatile. It has three storage pockets + a bladder pocket + external pouch. The closed storage pockets include one large, one medium, and one small velour lined pocket. Inside the large pocket there is a small velour lined pocket and a skinny long pocket (fits my Topeak Road Morph G pump perfectly). The medium pocket has a separate webbed zip compartment inside of it.
Lots and lots of storage options to give you lots of flexibility.
Perfect for me. Versatile and just enough storage space while being very compact.
On road bikes, while down in aero position, the whistle on the chest strap can catch air and make a whistling noise... easily solved by a piece of tape.
The waist straps can be removed if you would like. For this size backpack, I prefer the thing waist strap OR nothing... one of the reasons I'm glad I took this over the Opsrey Raptor series and it's large padded (backpacking style) waist strap sides.
Love it, love it, love it!! The guys I ride with are jealous, and one of them ordered one to replace his CamelBak!!

This is the best hydration reservoir/backpack I have ever owned! Totally worth the price. Most Hydration packs leak and are supper hard to fill with water. The system in the pack is amazing and has never leaked!

Bought this to replace my regular sized backpack and a water bottle while mountain biking. The bag is small enough to not really notice you're wearing it, but big enough to carry some of the essentials to keep you going.

The bladder for the water is in a separate rear compartment and comes right out to easily fill, clean and dry out. The size is enough to get me through a good 10km ride (at least). The valve has a quick connect for cleaning / filling and works great.

There are 3 main compartments, and a padded area at the top to put your mp3 player in. I like this feature since it keeps the cord out of the way and out of my pocket.

There are a few compartments in each pocket, some with mesh zippers to keep things contained including my first aid; spare tubes, mini pump and multi-tool.

The chest strap has a whistle built into the clasp in case something ever goes wrong or you run into some wildlife.

Overall a good buy, I'm very happy with it and plan to use it for snowboarding this winter without the water bladder.

I was using a larger 6 year old drafter pack before this but wanted something smaller and with the upgrades in water bag design, its nice. has velcro to hold up the water bag and redesigned bag and click apart tube and bag means less spillage and you only have to disconnect the bag to fill it and it has a limiter so it doesn't get super fat with water. overall very nice hold most everything I need just for an easy day ride and smaller and lighter then the drafter.
