Love them

I've been using these gloves for about 2 months now and they are just awesome. I've used these on warm days/really really cold days and I have yet had to break out the lines.. The waterproofing is good, the size is good. Just all around a great pair of gloves.

Nothing not to like

They are full of the latest tech, and have everything you need. Snot wipe, goggle wipe, removable liner, tough palm. These are great!

Love These

We bought the phantom style, and my husband absolutely loves these. They're super warm, and are definitely waterproof. He often doesn't even need the liners. Buy them!

I'm a girl and have pretty small hands, they measure about 6 inches from the tip of my middle finger to my wrist. What size glove should I get?

Responded on

Small, If you wanna be on the safe side, get Medium, but i would make sure your ok with roomy gloves.

Awesome

Really Warm and completely water proof to top it off. These gloves won't break the bank while delivering excellent performance. I would Definitely recommend these to anyone

Pretty great

I had these gloves a few years back and loved them! they are very waterproof and warm. I can't remember a day where I had cold hands wearing these. I was very sad when I ended up ripping the palm of one of these gloves. These are amazing and are a great deal!

the best value

for $45 this glove cant be beat. it is waterproof on the back and has a durable waterproof palm. The shell is really enough for most days and the liner is great for wearing around by itself, i even use it as a running glove. the liner is articulate enough that i can even text on the lift, so i dont have to expose my hands to the cold. it definately runs small though. i followed the sizing chart, bought medium, and had to return it for a large. I was about to swap it for a bigger glove when i realized that it wouldnt really be possible for me to size up, its just too tight across the back of the hand. I do not recomend this for skiers though. With the liner it it feels snug on the hand in a relaxed position but when you bend your fingers (to grasp a pole) it feels like its pulled way to tight across the back of the hand, especially the knuckles. im afraid after alot of use some seams on the back of the fingers will pull out. its slightly uncomfortable, but i get used to it. im sure its fine for any snowboarders who leave their hands in a relaxed position as they ride. other than the tighteness on the back of the hnad, its one of the best gloves ive had

perfect

toasty at negative temperatures, unbelievable quality for this price. you can't have a better glove for 3x the price

does its job sometimes

it does not insulate very well. my fingers still freeze while wearing it, especially when i get on the ski lift, the wind seems to be going through it. Also, when holding on to the lift's metal bar, the coldness from the metal is transferred into your hands. The palm area also freezes up when you touch the snow. the liner is great.

You could have a circulation issue that you might want to get looked at. Could not be the gloves, might just be the lack of blood flow to your hands. Not saying your unhealthy, just that if your hands dont stay warm in the cold, then something might be an issue.Talk to a dr to see if this could be the case. good luck.

how is the liner secured inside the outer shell?

Responded on

i just went ahead and bought them and to answer my own question, it is not secured inside the glove. its made so you can remove your hand from the outer part to do something like take a pic or answer your phone and you leave the liner on the whole time. its a pretty useful feature

Money

Great glove! Just don't get the liner too close to the stove because it will melt. Trust me.

Great Gloves, But Weird Sizing?

Absolutely love everything about these gloves except for the fit. I have pretty average adult male sized hands (at least I'd like to think). I can't grip a basketball so I didn't think tht I'd need a size XL glove, but the Scouts that I ordered in size Large are tight to the point they're not confortable (and that's without the liners on).

I've seen people here reviewing that you should order a size down, but from my experience I say order a size larger! Not sure if Dakine changed their sizing, but that was my experience at least.

Other than that, I LOVE these gloves. Nebraska winters are known for snow - not pretty snow that falls straight from the sky, but blizzard conditions with 30-40 mile hour winds common. These are the only gloves that I've found in the under-$100 price range that have effectively kept me warm. North Face, Serius, and other brand gloves have failed at this. It also passes the water test as I've held these under the sink for a few minutes without getting my hands wet. That's good enough glove for me.

Great glove

I ordered a Large orginally, folwing the sizing chart and going off the size of my previous gloves, however, these runa little short and slim. I then ordered XL and they fit perfectly. I sold that Large to my friend so I didn't have to waste money on shipping. The liners are awesome, but the gloves feel warm enough to possibly not need them. the cuff is excellent, I like the baffle to keep the snow out. I have yet to try them in snow, but will in two weeks. If I don't like them, I will be back to change this review.

Run Big???

In reading the reviews, I bought a medium in these gloves. Way to small! I think they are true to size and I returned them for a large. Haven't used the the gloves yet, but will comment on that later. I'm still giving 5 stars because the return is due to size, not the gloves which are well constructed at a great price.

I didn't know I had gorilla hands

I know others have said these run big, however, I ordered an XL and my hands barely fit in them. Do I have huge hands? I don't believe so, they look like a pretty average size to me.

That being said they appear to be warm, are very comfortable, and look like they would take some abuse.

Responded on

yea i had the same problem. i followed the sizing chart and they were a size too small. i sized up and theyre still alittle tight
