Warm and reliable, all winter long.
The Dakine Rover glove shrugs off winter's worst weather to keep you shredding with a smile on your face. Arctic blasts ain't no thing, thanks to a generous 170 grams of PrimaLoft insulation. The Gore-Tex guaranteed waterproof breathable membrane blocks out moisture, while allowing your sweat to escape, doubling your dryness. There's a bombproof leather palm, which holds up to rope tows and sharp edges, and it breaks in nicely, so it'll only get better with age. The shell is built from four-way stretch softshell to keep you protected, and the tall gauntlet works just as well tucked under the cuff of your jacket as it does pulled over. Plus, the wool liner wicks moisture and fights the funk all season long. If you're going to put in a bunch of days this season, the Rover will be a faithful companion.

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
The Dakine Rover is one of the better Gore gloves out. This years model is a little different than the previous version. No wrist strap closure and slightly tighter fit. The logo isn't stitched on the forefinger either, but rather stamped on. All of these indicate changes to cut cost in manufacture of glove. That said, it is still a very comfortable, and dry glove that includes nikwax h2o proofing for the leather. Also has the all important wrist lanyard for inadvertent drops.
amazing pair of gloves
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Very warm, extremely waterproof. A great leather palm provided you use the wax to treat the leather beforehand. I just miss removable liners and a zip to remove excess heat (something the Titan has)
