This pack is not waterproof. If you like your current pack, you can save money and purchase a pack cover. Backcountry sells covers from $24.95, depending on the size you need. If you want a new pack, many of the Osprey packs include a rain cover, or if you prefer a completely waterproof pack, look at the SealLine Urban and DAKINE Cyclone Roll Top to name a few.

This is the best backpack I have ever owned. I was a little doubtful about it before I received it by mail but when it arrived I was impressed. I am extremely happy with my new backpack as it makes life a lot easier when carrying your books and your laptop.This backpack allows you to carry a lot of junk but yet everything is very organized. LOVE IT!!!!

I need A Back pack big enoungh and tough enough to handle a college students 18 hour schedule plus a lab top. And I want one that I don't get tired of looking at. Any suggesting as to square inches.
