Description

A little bigger than most carry-ons but, then again, the homie next to you was required to buy two seats, so you shouldn't feel bad.

Even in a crowded concourse, you can easily dig out a clean T-shirt from inside the split-level design of the DAKINE Overhead Rolling Bag. Stuff the two front pockets with all the naughty mags and liquor you bought at the duty-free shop, and board the plane with hours of easily accessible entertainment. Sprint to your next flight with your fingers wrapped around the retractable handle and smooth-gliding urethane wheels furiously spinning behind you.

I bought this bag for a recent trip to Houston. It served me well with no issues. I selected this size because it fits in the overheard compartment; I didn't want to check bags if I didn't have to. 4 out of 5 stars for good quality and service.

Dakine makes excellent quality packs and their luggage stands the test of travel as well! I love this sized rolling bag as it is slightly bigger than other overhead bags but still fits in the overhead bin as long as you don't overstuff the outer pockets. I've used this thing for years both as a carry-on and checked luggage and it has stood the test of time with super durable zippers and nylon material.

Okay. I NEVER write reviews. I just don't take the time. I was so impressed with the customer service from Dakine, that I had to share!

I bought the Overhead carry on bag in 2008. I have travelled all over the world with it, and it is very durable. I even managed to get enough stuff in it for my 34 day trip to Mexico and Thailand last winter!

I contacted customer service because the seam on the inside mesh closure (doesn't exist on the new model) was starting to come apart. I was still able to use the bag. It wasn't a huge deal, however, customer service simply asked me to answer a few questions in an email to them, and attach a photo of the damage. Two minutes after sending them the info, they emailed me back asking me which colour of new bag I wanted since they didn't make the same print I had on my older model!

They didn't ask for a receipt, or when or where I purchased it, and they didn't even want me to return the old bag to them!

The whole process of dealing with customer service took 15 minutes! That all happened on Monday. The following Thursday, a had a brand new bag delivered to my doorstep!

Do not even blink an eye at the cost of any Dakine product. It is well worth it for the quality, and the service that backs it up!

The space is ok. I just didn't think it was durable enough for my travels and kind of a minor detail, but it would never stand up right when it was full, and this bothered me. It would keep falling down, it didn't balance right.
