Pack up the Dakine Mission Backpack before you head across campus this fall or hit the resort this winter. Dakine gave this pack a vertical board carry to haul your skateboard or snow-stick, and the padded laptop pocket keeps your e-brain safe and secure while you ride.
Fleece-lined goggle pocket protects your gogs
Deployable water bottle pocket keeps your hydration close
Fleece-lined sunglass pocket safely stores your shades
Bottom Line: Everything you need to ditch class or hit the mountain.
This bag is sick and can be used for almost any thing. I use it almost everyday and even took it on a overnight hiking trip. The straps are alot strong then I thought they would be. Great bag all around.
Got one of these for X-mas 2007. Its had a long hard life already with many day trips into the woods, lots of bush-wackin, a few snowboard trips, my kid used it for school one year, and its been washed 4 or 5 times. The thing is still in great condition. No rips, tears, broken zippers, nothing, and theres very little fading. Great Quality Product.

this is a great pack.i have the older model, which i prefer over the new one, but the camcorder pocket is extremely handy, and the pack itself will carry or hold almost anything. it is very durable, and great for sitting around in the park all day, or tearin through the pow. an overall, great affordable pack.
I bought this for my 13 yr. old son who uses it for school and snowboarding. It has lots of room for books, lunch, but also will carry his snowboard, shovel and anything else he needs out on the slopes. He loves the bold colors too.
is this the same pack as the camera version? and will the dakine camera block fit in this or is it compatible? http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/DAKINE-Camera-Block-880cu-in/DAK0587M.html
Really happy with this pack. I have used it everyday for well over a year now. Easy to travel with and fits pretty much everything I need. If I had to say one negative thing it would be I could use more pockets either inside the front flap or on the outside somewhere. I usually have a 15" laptop in it plus papers/books/notepad/ipod and a bunch of wires for charging the ipod/laptop connecting things so I have a USB cable/network cable etc. Then of course pens. That all pretty much takes care of all the pockets. I do like the waterbottle pocket and the sunglass pocket. Overall I really like the pack. Comfortable and light. Has the sternum strap and waist belt. I strap all those up with riding the bike. Would buy again and suggest to a friend
I love this backpack!!!! The lined pockets are amazing because then my sunglasses, goggles, or electronics won`t be scratched. Also this backpack is huge it looks small but it has just the right amount of space!
I dont really know how much 1600 cu inches is but could some one maybe give me an idea such as how many books it is or something. it would be greatly appreciated thanks.
It's a good size. I also have the Dakine Terminal 2100 cause I thought I wanted a bigger pack but then realized it was too big. I could fit a ton of stuff in the 2100 Cu In but never needed that much. So I bought this one as well. I like it a lot better as far as size goes. Much more practical. I put my 15" laptop in it, and that leaves me with 4-6 inches of depth to put books and stuff in.
I bike a lot and have had this pack for about a year. I love it save for one thing; the hang strap/shoulder straps being joined at the top causes the hang strap to dig into the back of your neck when you are bent over during bike rides. You might want to look elsewhere if you are a cyclist and considering this pack. I wound up cutting the hang strap out. It looks like crap now, but is much more comfortable.
It's an alright pack, the size does seem limiting. The pockets are all fleece lined which is baller, no complaints, really durable and you can strap anything down on the outside so far I've got long board and shoes but its versatile.
I ordered this bag and really liked the look and functionality of it. But it was not large enough for what I wanted. I wanted to bring it for weekend trips out of town and be able to bring my laptop, I also wanted a fun looking bag (something bright and different). It seemed perfect, but 1600 cu in just was not large enough for 2-3 days worth of stuff. For day trips or one night it would be perfect. It had a good set up and a nice padded spot of your computer. I wish they made a 2000 cu in version.
