This bag is perfect. I ordered the larger size initially - it was HUGE - and downgraded to this size. It is just the right size for what I need. This is my first messenger bag and I love it! The color is great, too (Premier/Black).

To a degree. If it's raining on your morning bike commute, your papers won't get wet, usually. Pretty much like any backpack that isn't designed to be dunked, it really isn't waterproof.

I have the 900 cu inch messenger bag and it does the job nicely. It has some very handy internal and external pockets that are great for stashing gadgets and cords. The laptop sleeve is just barely big enough to fit my HP/Compaq nx7400, so if you've got a laptop that is even slightly bigger mine, you'll need a bigger bag.
