Best leash ever

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have tried a lot of leashes and now I only use Dakine, they last the most.

The comp series are amazing, I always use it on medium to small surf or big surf on a beach break. They last less than the regular one, but it's worth it. I only use the regular dakine model when it's really big or with rocks around.

The 5 foot model it's extremely light. It might be dangerous if you are used to the 6 foot, after a wipeout the board might come back to you faster. I had a couple of close ones and some friends, don't like using it. But if you are looking for a high performance surfing, 5 ft comp it's a great option.

is there a key pocket on this leash? Also does the spot where it attaches to the board have a velcro closure, or is it just a loop?

super good

super comfy ankle cuff, very secure on your leg and on your board, and has lasted over a year with no problems. If they sold these with candy, it would literally be the perfect package.

My favorite leash in the whole world

This is pretty much the only leash I buy. They last a long time, at least a season and sometimes more than 2 or 3 seasons. They are super lightweight and don't tangle up also. The colors are killer. They don't snap like stupid OAM leashes. I have used these in well overhead waves and been fine, unless the leash is over a year old or so, then the swivel has snapped, so when I go big I make sure my leash is pretty new so I'm not swimming.
