This lightweight back sports a shove pocket for your necessary tool, a vertical snowboard carry and diagonal ski carry for your sticks, and is fully hydration compatible so you aren’t fumbling for your water bottle on your ascent. Stash your goggles in the fleece-lined goggle pocket for safe-keeping, and use the front pocket to organize the rest of your gear.

Bottom Line: Take your skis or snowboard into the backcountry.

How versatile is this pack? --- It is designed specifically for winter, but it should work just fine for summer activities too, right?

Also, does anyone know how it feels on a lift? Are you able to sit back in the seat or does it feel like you have a full backpack on?

I have the guy version of this pack and you can use it for just about anything. I use it in the winter for snowboarding, in the summer for day packs, and sometimes just to throw stuff in for a weekend get away. When you are on a lift, it feels just fine. If you pack it full, it might get a little bulky depending on how you pack it. But, if everything organized, you should be fine. What I love about this is the hydration compatibility. The bladder goes on the back and the hose feeds up through the strap. You can zip it shut if you want to. It's a great pack!

Alaska heli-skiing with my Heli Pro

This backpack comfortably fits all the gear I need for a day in the backcountry. The ski loops are fat enough to hold fat skis, the main area fits my water, skins, Clif Bars, gummy bears, extra goggles, gloves, layer, probe, and shovel blade... keeping it all snug and compact. I love the plaid and funky patterns that DaKine uses, but most importantly, I love all the attention to functional detail.

Best Pack Ever

I use this all the time. Hiking, skiing in the back country and even just for trips. It holds all my stuff and plus had a built in camel back and the waist strap has a camera pouch, making it easy to snap a picture with out having to dig through all the layers of clothing you can pack in the main compartment. Skis are also cross packed so you can fit under low branches when hiking in the woods. Plus, it's held up through several season of abuse for me and I doubt I'll have to replace it anytime soon.

Well, I suppose it depends what else you have in there, but you shouldn't have any trouble getting your lunch into this pack.
