Cartwheeling down the hill with your pants around you ankles even once is too much. If you can't help sliding down the mountain on your ass once in awhile at least you can make sure you don't loose your pants again. DAKINE's Grommet Belt is a burly nylon belt you can wear with snowboard pants and, once spring hits, wear it with shorts all summer.
Bottom Line: Keep your pants on.

Great belt. It's really light and feels pretty strong.
Pro: I bought it for snowboarding because when leather belts get wet they feel weird and break easily. This was my perfect solution. Plus it was cheaper than most of the alternative.
Con: My only gripe is that it only comes in one size. I'm a 30" waist and it feels like I have a whole lot of extra belt.

I bought this belt for snowboarding, and it worked out great. With all the outerwear and small things I carry snowboarding, I needed a light-weight belt that holds up. This does both. Great quality belt for the price.

I plan on using the belt for snowboarding. It's very light and seems to hold up well. Can't ask for anything better.
