Just heading out for a few hours? Grab the DAKINE Glacier Hydration Pack and go slay it. DAKINE threw in a 70oz antimicrobial Nalgene reservoir to make the Glacier ideal for hiking, biking, skiing, or snowboarding. Use the front bungee cord to lock down a wind shell or fleece, and when the sun comes out, grab your shades from the fleece-lined sunglasses pouch. A Dry-Mesh back panel wicks moisture and breathes well to cool you down as you ride singletrack, and wide shoulder straps keep things on lockdown when you make pow turns.

Bottom Line: Stay hydrated on half-day trips on the singletrack or double blacks.

Very functional and exceeded my expectations

I used this for the first time on a trip to Snowmass, CO. Ski'd all over the mountian...steps, tress, bumps...really comfortable and easy to use. I especially like the zip-away compartment for the mouth piece. The two small zipper sections, in addition to the water pouch, held more than I thought they would. Great hydration pack!

Yeah, it does not really work. Because even after you wash it, the taste is still in their. If you just stuck to that one type of drink for the reservoir than you will be okay, but not if you are switching back and forth from water or a mixed drink.

Great pack overall

nice size pack, haven't used it riding yet, but for the long days in the sun that are my weekends currently this pack delivers. Many of my friends have other packs with the exposed tubes and end up spitting out the first mouthful or so cause it has gotten hot from being in the sun... the tube hideaway pocket in the shoulder strap was a great idea, as it was designed to keep the water from freezing in the winter it also helps keep the ice cool water in the pack from getting hot in the sun on a hot summer day (gets bearably warm at most, but usually stays cool). I think as with most packs it's kind of a pain to fill the pack with ice, at least when getting started, but once the pack is half full ice drops right in the decent sized filler opening. Filling the pack with ice then topping off with water will keep the water ice cold in the pack for a full summer day (7am-7pm), if the water lasts that long. My only issue is that sometimes the tube pulls back up inside the shoulder strap a touch that makes it slightly more difficult to reach, but can easily be fixed and you're back to ice cold water action again. This pack fits great and I'm sure once the riding season begins this pack will deliver great performance on the mountain as well.

I doubt it would fit with the bladder filled. You may be able to strap it to the outside?
