DAKINE Frontier Glove - 2007 BCS

These are good gloves, waterproof and thin, and they would work for most cases. I bought the Black/Black Camo and tried them for night ski, and my hands got cold due to the tight grip, which compressed the thin insulation I guess. When not holding the poles, they were OK.

I took these gloves out in 20 degree wet show/powdery conditions. My hands stayed warm and dry all day. I had no problem with snow getting inside the glove.

The one problem is with the synthetic palm material. When the material is wet it stays wet and then freezes. So the palm of my glove and tips of the fingers were covered in ice for most of the day. But my hands stayed warm and dry despite the ice.

Great gloves, kept my hands warm in 2 degree weather boarding at Vail. Goretex insert kept hands dry every day. Never had to dry them out, no leakage at all. Elastic cinch does not close as tight as some gloves I have had in the past, but NEVER had a problem with snow in the cuffs over 4 days of powder with plenty of wipeouts to test them on. Would recommend to anyone.

This gloves block out the snow and wicks away any sweat that may build up inside. They are plenty warm but allow for movement. Would do well in any conditions.

I'm a big guy (6'2", 230#), so i got XL size and they are comfortable. Warm, wick moisture well, and definately water-proof. Excellent contruction compared to most golves I have purchased (this goes for DaKine in general). I wish they had safety straps along with the gauntlets, but they still function perfectly.

Nice looking gloves kept me warm all day. I had no problems with it at all on the slopes. Not as much dexterity as I'd like, (I had some trouble with assisting my son with his jacket zippers).
