    Great overall bag

Bought the 165 cm bag for my 157.5 cm board. Fits my board, bindings and boots no problem and I still have room in the main compartment for other items. Great bag for road trips to the mountain. I even strapped mine to the top of the car and it rode great.

      Decent bag for the price

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I wanted something to cover my new board while transporting it and storing it long term. This bag isn't really padded, but it's enough to protect from scrapes while in the car. I wouldn't suggest flying your board in it.

I ordered a 167 bag, I ride a 155W. The board fits well and the extra room allows me to stash a tuning kit, mens size 12 boots, a coat and pants, in there. (I used this to provide some extra padding.)

The handle seems well made. The should strap is a bit standard, could really use a padded area on it. It's sturdy enough, just not very comfortable if you're carrying the bag a long distance. The pocket on the front is useful, but I just stick my gear in the main area of the bag.

I would say, the bag doesn't breathe well, so dry off your board before you put it in there, even if it's just overnight.

For the price, it does the trick. I would suggest ordering a few sizes up, just for the extra room. It's contoured to accommodate a board and bindings, so the extra space, when filled with gear, packs the bag nice and snug.

if you'd like a bag to protect your board for short trips and car journeys, this is it.

      Not enough protection

      • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I was after a new snowboard bag for airline travel since my current bag is unpadded. I didn't want one of those bullet proof snowboard bags where you need the wheels to pull around the additional heft. I used to have one which I was also prone to overpacking.

As it turned out, the padding on this bag is only on the bottom and not on the sides where I wanted the drop protection from mishandling by the airline (or even myself). Padding on top would have been nice-to-have.

The shoulder strap was super basic without a shoulder pad.

The zippered accessory pocket was well sized.

I was hoping this Dakine bag was going to be better than the similar Burton bag but they ended up being pretty much the same. I returned this bag and just going to stick with my plain-o unpadded snowboard bag until I find what I'm after.

      Great bag!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is a great purchase for the price. It's nicely padded as I had purchased it to take my board flying and it is perfect for it. The quality seems adequate for surviving moderate use. Plenty of space as I was able to fit my board, bindings, helmet and boots with a little space for some extra things.

      Great first buy!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is my first board bag and it has enough color to be distinguishable. It fits a good amount, but being a girl I have a hard time fitting in everything I need to stay under the 50lb weight limit. It is also durable. Good for a first bag.

      Fits lots!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got the 165 bag for my husband, and he has a 157 board. I wanted to make sure he had space in the bag without stressing the zipper. He can fit the board, with bindings, his size 13 boots, snowpants, goggles and XL helmet. We love the little bit of padding so we feel like his board is a little more protected than if it didn't have any. He likes the carrying strap and handle too for ease of transport.

168W board does not fit in the 165 bag

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I called and asked to see if my 168W board would fit in the 165 bag and they said it would. When the bag arrived I couldn't even jam my board into the bag. The bag looked really nice on the inside. They way I had the bad stretched I wouldn't have been able to zip it up anyways because of my bindings. Buy bigger then your board size if you want to get this bag. Pretty bummed that this bag didn't fit. Trying to find a bag for a decent price for this new powder board is pain.

      Low Quality

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Loved the bag at first, thought it was a little small for my 160 board because i had ordered the 165 bag. I was very disappointed after using it for a spring break trip though. I flew to michigan and by the time i got it to my final destination back home it had already ripped in two places. Good bag in you don't plan on flying with it.

      Works Amazingly

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I ordered the 157cm size and it fits my 156cm board perfectly with the bindings attached and folded down. I've used it about 10 times so far this season and it's been a great way to move my gear around.

There's enough room to throw my boots in there on the outsides of the bindings and a sweater or jacket between them.

The front pouch is super convenient to keep my goggles from knocking around and for keeping tools and hand warmers.

The tarp lining is really nice after coming off the slopes. I throw the board and my boots back in there so that they don't soak the car on the way home. When I'm ready to take everything out, I can just turn the bag upside down and pour out all the melted snow and ice.

Overall it's a great bag and it works really well.

Will boots, bindings, and board fit in bag?
