Great Bag, does everything I've asked

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This bag was a gift, and nicely timed as I was heading out West for some spring skiing. (Last spring)

Was able to pack everything in this one bag; 1 pair of skis, 2 sets of poles, all my extra gear and clothes (for a 7 day trip). Perfect!

Only thing was it was tight when I finally got my boots in there, but I think thats a matter of sizing.

Great ski bag, be careful with sizing

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this bag for ski trips out to Utah and I have been very happy with it. I made sure to get the longer bag (190 cm) to have some extra room to fit other essential items like ski pants or other layers and its nice to have that option. Having gone through the ski bag at the airport thing a few times with older ski bags I must say that having the wheels makes the whole process much easier.

I would be sure to check that whichever skis you plan on putting in this bag actually fit beforehand because I was a little surprised by how much room my powder skis took up.

I can fit two pair of pow skis in this thing at 179cm each, boom I can dig it!

Love it.

This bag is huge. I bought the 190cm so that I can take my Dad's or guy friend's skis with me. It is a little obnoxious getting it into the car on the way to/from the airport, but other than that it's amazing. I fit my skis, poles, sorels, helmet, and almost all of my ski clothes (long johns, etc) in this bag. Even with two pairs of skis and poles I fit a TON of stuff in it. Absolutely recommend it.

Took this bag from Seattle to Spokane and Seattle to Anchorage and had no issues. I decided to go with the double ski bag as an investment for my future ski trips and I'm really glad I went with the bigger bag.

First (and possibly last) ski bag

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This was my first ski bag that I've purchased and after several car trips and two plane rides, I'm completely sold on this product. I have the 190 cm and it fit two pairs of skis (186 cm Line Influence 105 & 190 cm Praxis Powder Boards) and two pairs of poles without any issue. After deliberation, I have found the best way to pack the skis in is to tape the tips and tails and then place them flat (rather than on their sides) and then pack in the poles in between the two pairs.

The wheels as well as the reinforced handles on all 4 sides are awesome for navigating both public transit and the airport without (too much) issue. I don't have much use for the pockets at this time but I'm sure I'll be glad that they're there when I need them. Loving this product.

Dakine Fall line ski / snowboard bag

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I used this bag to carry skis on one trip this december and another time to carry my snowboard. Each time I was able to fit my boots in the bag and all my gear. When I got to the airport I could easily maneuver my bag around with the wheels on the botom. There are 2 huge pockets on the front of the bag which makes it easy to keep your dirty clothes or shampoo separate from the rest of your stuff.

My only complaint is that this bag isn't waterproof. It might look like it is, but that's padding. It was pouring down rain when I landed and all my gear was soaked from water seeping in from the zipper.

Also if you plan on carrying 2 pairs of skis in this bag you might want to get 2 bags, most airlines only let you have 50lb bags.

Would I be able to fit 195 rockers in the 190? I figure it has a little room to play with.

here's what i put in for a week long trip to CO: 1 pair of skis (rossi s86, 170cm) and poles, 2 helmets, bootwarmer, and all my clothes for the week (ski pants, jacket, insulating layers, fleeces). underwear and socks went on the outside pockets. I did not include my boots as i carry them on board. I think it would be difficult to put a pair of boots in there, even with 1 pair of skis. you def would not be able to put much clothes in if you were able to put in a pair of boots with the skis. U could put 2 pairs of skis, but adding boots would be an issue.

quality materials, had no issues with tearing or anything. The wheels are great and making rolling around the airport a cinch. This bag is similar to the burton wheelie gig bag for snowboards.

Do you guys think that it would fit 2 pairs of skis (one powder and one park) and a snowboard?

I fit three boards in, so you would be ok with this

Big and bomber

This bag fits two pairs of fat skis, a helmet, some avy gear and a few other nick nacks. I've even managed to fit a snowboard and skis in. Get this bag for all of your travel needs. The wheels are essential, too. Nobody wants to hoof a bag full of gear on one should.

The bag is long enough for my 189s and could probably accomodate up to 192 or 193 (specs say 190 but assume a bit of stretch).

My only complaint is that it is tough to fit boots and two sets of skis at once. I dare not check boots on trips, but the ride home is always nice without boots on my shoulders. If you go with one set of skis, it's an easy fit, but two is really pushing it.

Regarding durability, the bag is impressive. I've put mine on 10+ flights and it only shows a little bit of wear despite all the efforts of the airlines to destroy it. It's traveled globally and is still in one piece.

This bag can accommodate 196 Praxis Protest plus 194 Praxis Freeride skis with room to spare.

Those are big skis. That attests to the roominess of the bag. I got two skis and avy gear, pack, and helmet in the bag on my last trip.

Highly Recommend

This is a great ski bag...it easily fits my skis, my husband’s skis, both of our poles, as well as our 3 year old’s skis. We have room to pack in ski gear like our ski pants etc around the skis as well as my winter boots. The pouches on the outside hold our overnight bags. We have traveled to Switzerland with this bag from the States and it has held up very well with the air travel. On top of it all, it is so stylish! I also have the matching boot bag which is great.

Dakine Fall Line ski bag part III

We have 2 single ski bags from Dakine. Our next trip will be to Telluride, and getting this double bag will pay for itself almost the first trip saving bag charges. The bags are meant to last a lifetime, and the first 2 have proven their worth. When I have the option I like to buy great quality, when it comes at a VERY fair price it's a bonus. These bags are great.

Amazing Bag!

Baggage costs have gone up and this bag is great when you need to fit two pairs of skis in one bag. Be careful, because most airlines have a limit of 50lbs. I find that we can fit two pairs of Tele skis, poles and some avy equipment and various other odds and ends all under 50 lbs. This bag is rugged and easy to move through the airport. great zippers!

Are there any differences between this bag and the Women's Fall Line Double Ski Bag besides the length of the bag?

Pattern, aesthetics. The construction and weight are the same.

Great Bag

Fit a pair of 167 recons and a pair of 174 strykers in the 175cm bag, with a little room at the top to spare, as well as all my gear needed for my trip to nz for two weeks, though took my boots as carry on due to weight restrictions. Fit them both in by tieing down the ski brakes, laying 1 pair flat and the other pair against each side, then regular luggage in between. Great bag no faults to speak of.

2pair? Really?

I tried to fit my 2 pair of 170s with bindings in the bag. Tip to tail is is a really tight fit for one pair, but there was no way to configure 2 pair so that they would fit in the bag. 1 pair and some soft gear, yes. Two pair of skis with bindings, and then poles, no.

good bag for one person!

I got this bag to pack everything I needed on a trip and not cause extra baggage fees!

I got the 170 bag. I ride 170 Volkl’s – they fit fine with about 1” at the top. Don’t be fooled by the pockets at the top and bottom. They look like they will hold boots. Sadly they are just not deep enough. But with that said my boots do fit inside the bag with nice room to spare for your gear (coat paints, gloves. Etc….) Rollers are big and strong. Construction is top notch. As would be expected from Dakine. There is an internal pad (on the bottom half) with Velcro -but there is no way to attach the ski’s inside the bag. This would make a nice addition.

All in all – good bag! Lots of room, don’t know how you would get 2 pair of skis and boots in it but where there is a will there is a way!
