The DAKINE Eric Jackson Team Baron Gore-Tex Mitten reflects aspects of its namesake, Eric Jackson. No, Eric doesn't have waterproof cow-hide as an epidermis or poly-fill guts, but both have a freestyle foundation with the muscle to take those skills to world's most remote backcountry. Skirting the old-school gauntlet-style mitt for a more low-pro shape, Eric's version of the Baron Mitten holds it down beyond the ropes or in the park during mid-winter without thinking twice.

  • Gore-Tex membrane provides guaranteed waterproof protection and breathability from the inside-out
  • DWR treatment on the mitt's exterior makes moisture to bead up and roll off before you know it's there
  • Insulated with 170-gram high-loft (and lightweight) synthetic fill to keep your hands toasty during winter's coldest months
  • Durable leather exterior wraps your hands in durable and water-resistant cow hide ready to take on the world's harshest zones
  • 360-gram wool lining provides next-to-skin comfort while naturally storing heat and managing sweat build up
  • Palm is constructed from water-repellent leather
  • Nose wipe suede thumb panels wipe the sniffles away without rubbing your face raw
  • Eric Jackson signature glove

Big and Cozy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

If your hands get cold in regular gloves, try out these sweet mittens. They keep my hands toasty warm even in the coldest conditions. A comfortable lining and durable outer make this a great glove for skiing and boarding.

Great Design

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

My hands are ALWAYS cold so I am wearing mittens for running, skiing, hiking from mid Fall to mid Spring. There are tons of great mitts out there - I just chose this and am super happy with it. I like fitting the jacket OVER the mitt cuff, not the other way with a lot of big gauntlet style gloves and mitts. its indeed waterproof, and I can get away with just this one mitt for all cold weather needs. I would say they run a tad bit small, as an extra large is a good fit for me (I usually wear a large) without much room for any extra liners. After a couple of months of almost daily use it is holding up extremely well. In terms of warmth, durability, and comfort, i give it five stars across the board.
