- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Bought 2 of these to keep boots, pants, coat, gloves and whatever else in. I wears a size 13 boot and they fit in the bag nicely along with everything else I take up the mountain. The bag feels durable and seems like it will last for awhile. The zippers are big and work great. The side pocket fits all my gloves hats and neck warmers. Would fit a pair of shoes in them too if that's what you'd want it for.
I would like to see a pocket for valuables or something inside but none the less this is an awesome bag especially for under $50.
Now that some of you have had the bag for...
Now that some of you have had the bag for longer - how has it held up?
It holds stuff. Heavy loads. I like it a lot. The side pocket is quite large to separate out shoes or something. great shoulder strap.
Love this bag
This bag is huge. It is the perfect size for sporting events when you need to carry a lot of things.
is this bag waterproof?
is this bag waterproof?
Water resistant. Polyester generally is pretty good against a light rain. But the zippers and seams will always fail first.
Great price for a durable and large bag. Packed 2 weeks of clothes for a trip, too large for carryon but a great checked bag. Great material, water resistant and strong.
I use it for carrying diving stuff during the summer and ski gear during the winter. I don't see any issues with it. It's pretty sturdy and it can fit a lot of gear. I recommend it in the size to price to durability ratio.
Dakine EQ 74L
This is a huge bag, it fits everything you can put in it for a week plus vacation. The only thing i dont like about it is that it doesnt keep its form when only half full. But other than that a great bag.
Very nice big bag. Great for a weekend trip!!
Taken this bag on a few trips now. It's held up nicely and still looks good. Great durable bag and has tons of room. Just sling it over your shoulder when you need your hands free. The shoulder strap has a bit of padding to cushion the load. Not really for a gym, but great for extended trips or for a gear bag.
Great vacation bag
I just bought and used this bag for a week long snowboard trip. This bag is too big to be carried on if full. I was able to fit all the clothes I need for the week long trip in this bag with no problem at all. The bag has two handles on each end of the bag and it makes it really easy to pull the bag out of a car.
The only con is that it does not hold it's shape and so it can be kind of awkward if it's not full.
Rocking Bag- DAKINE EQ Bag - Large - 4500cu in.
I love the capacity of the bag. It is something that will withstand weather. I wish there were more than just that one smaller compartment for items (i.e. small side zipper for small things like wallet or passport. This bag is definitely good for a weekend getaway or campingfor two adults and two kids. (granted I pack very tight and well) The handles and strap are very comfortable. The price is reasonable. I would definitely recommend this bag. I love the DAKINE line of bags that I also own a cosmetic bag. I want to buy a rolling duffle bag as well.
Good Duffel Bag
Nice pocket for putting wet/muddy shoes, sandals, etc. in to keep from getting the large compartment goods dirty. Nice rubbery coating on the inside. It rolls up for packing into other bags (great for international travel, spare bag, laundry bag, etc.).
Decent duffel. Decent price.
Pretty solid duffel bag for the price. Just big enough to hold your gear without being overly bulky. Full size side pocket capable of holding a pair of shoes. Handles & padded carry strap are well made and don't seem flimsy at all. No complaints here!
Is this fit in the airlines carry on...
Is this fit in the airlines carry on guidelines?
Generally the rule of thumb for carry-on is 22 x 14 x 9in. These are a little too big.
this bag is great. big enough for a 4 day weekend, durable design and working as a baggage handler its nice and easy to stack in aircraft holds so you wont piss the guys off
Big Enough for a Corpse
This bag is huge. You could fit a corpse in there and you would only have to chop it into a few pieces. There are only two pockets so all of your stuff gets mingled together and things that you don't want to touch each other probably will. I use this to hold all of my downhill mountain bike gear; full-face helmet, armor suit, knee/shin armor, Leatt brace, gloves, goggles, and the small pocket holds all of my extra parts. Love this bag.
Pretty cool, but really thin
Cool bag, a lot bigger than I thought. Perfect for weekend roadies but with the thin material I wouldn't feel safe checking it on a flight.
this bag is enormous - screw suitcase, just shove everything in here! Seriously, all the extra stuff that won't fit in my wardrobe I fold (pffft as if!) and put in this bag. It's not lined or anything it is purely practical. Massive bag for massive amount of shitake.
Material feels a little flimsy, but it does a good job. Holds a lot, makes a nice vacation bag.
