Removable pipe gloves make the DAKINE Element Mittens versatile enough to wear when the temperatures drop to record lows in December or heat up in March. The mittens include ultra-warm Thermoloft insulation to keep your fingers from feeling the slightest chill. DAKINE's waterproof breathable DK Dry inserts fight off all moisture. Too warm for mittens? Pull out the removable pipe gloves to tear it up on a bluebird spring day.

Bottom Line: Ride in cold weather, ride in warm weather, ride in all weather with the DAKINE Element Mittens.

good materials - clunky form

By:

Lots of cool features, decent materials and well stitched, but the the form on these things is too universal. The shell is about as form fitting as an oven mitt and the pipe glove/liner is snug in the fingers but all balloony in the palm and wrist. I disagree with the other reviewer - I would order these particular gloves larger than usual. Dakine's sizing chart is inaccurate - it told me Large, then I had to reorder XL which fit better. Maybe their next model up (Gore -Tex) is a better fit.

Warm and Comfy

Gloves are very warm. I always get cold hands, but with the mittens and liners on I've yet to feel cold. Highly recommend!

DAKINE Element Mittens

Very nice mitten. Have held low double digit could metal objects and my hands - those important fingers - were protected, warm and did not loose heat. They grip very well and the liners are light and grip well, too. Overall and fine pair of mitts to keep your fingers together and feeding off the warmth of each other.

work great

By:

These mittens work great. I ordered them a little too big, but otherwise they would be perfect. My hands never got cold or wet, even when it was -1 degrees and I was just learning to snowboard so my hands were on the ground a lot. It was nice to have the removable pipe liners. I removed them at night so that in the morning they would be dried out completely.

Overall great buy. They do run a little big I think. I thought I would need a S, but really needed an XS. I liked them so much, next year I will buy some of the XS.
