DAKINE Dually Ski and Snowboard Bag - 2004 BCS

This bag is huge! We had no problem fitting two pairs of alpine skis, four pairs of poles, two pairs of cross-country skis, two pairs of cross-country ski boots, and all of our ski clothing (pants, jackets, hats, etc.). Thankfully, my husband is a very strong man to move this bag. While I appreciate the immense capacity, I think they could have improved the design. The bag is so long that it's difficult to actually wheel it around. The bottom of the bag slides with the wheels. Good thing there are handles on both ends for two people to lift it onto baggage carts.

Great Value, Great Bag. High quality wheels and sides. Nice securing straps and clasps as well as nice big zippers.

The Dually Board/Ski Bag is truly bomber! Good capacity and durability make this a great value. The wheels make carting around easy.

This bag is super! I managed to pack my skis, board, both boots, poles, helmet, impact shorts, gloves and goggles. It all fit well and weighed in right at 50 pounds (nice to have the wheels). My complaint is that the bag is just too long. Not sure how many people have skis that long, but boards aren't super long. It would have been nice to have a size option. I would have gone with a bag 180 cm or so. My disgust happend after I got it back from the airlines (United). They must have done something to totally slash the bag, and I mean even through the inner padding, all the way to the inside of the bag! I am looking into some type of reimbusment from the airlines. But that's not likely to happen. The quality of the bag is awesome, it is worth the price, but I wonder how easily it got damaged? My gear wasn't damaged, but it did happen on the long end that was a bit flappy because of the over size. It is difficult to fit into a standard size sedan, even with the back seats down and open to the trunk. Good luck...it's a nice bag!

The only problem with the bag is that it exceeded the 50 lb. weight limit and I was charged an additional $25 each way. You should check with your airline to find these annoying restrictions.

Excellent idea, great bag, and a fair price. I WANT ONE. But... IT'S TOO LONG! These days the average skis are 140-160cm in length... who needs the 205cm bag... Grandpa?! We measured our boards and skis and there's about a foot & a half extra bag that would be flopping around. OK, so make a bag for Grandpa... but make some for the other 90% of us out there with the most common gear. Get with the times and make me a shorter bag so that I can buy one!!! (With much "please" & "thank-you" of course!)

The bag is too long. I end up with about 15in of extra length flopping around. It is a rugged bag and I like the way the separate zipped pockets protect the skis and board from themselves.

Just got back from a week of spring skiing in St. Anton. This bag is great. My only suggestions would be backpack straps, a way to foldover the top flap and lock from the outside.
