Description

Your bones might break, but your shorts will be in good shape.

Once you drop in, you'll wish that you had been built as tough as your DAKINE Descent Shorts. Super-tough double-stitching and a gusseted crotch ensure that your Descent shorts will still be in one piece once you get back to the bottom of the lift. A ratcheting waist adjustment lets you dial the fit perfectly and securely, and a molded EVA back panel adds protection when the going gets rough.

  • Gusseted crotch panel adds durability
  • Zippered side pockets carry your stuff securely
  • Ratcheting waist adjustment for secure fit
  • Molded EVA lumbar panel for added protection
  • 16 inch inseam for a stylish fit that gets over your knee pads
  • Rib-knit back stretch panel

Initially impressed....

  • Fit: True to size

Received these shorts and was impressed with the look, fit, and feel. Unfortunately, by just the third ride, the outer mesh in the crotch area had worn/torn substantially. Perhaps the lightweight mesh in a potential friction area could have been better executed - or omitted completely.

Love'em....

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Seems like a little longer then 16" but still fit great. These definitely fit true to size compare to other Dakine DH Shorts. Look Sharp and feel good

Cheap Shorts, Don't Buy

After an hour of riding (literally just riding around our campground before we hit the trails) and the outer mesh of the groin area ripped in both seams of each pant leg. I went on to ride (had no other shorts) and the pants were great, but I will be promptly returning them due to the poor quality of the stitching.

Do I need to size up one to wear armored shorts underneath?

Responded on

I wear size 34 and bought a size large... fit great with padded shorts.
