Keep your ride(s) tuned to perfection and performing well with the DAKINE Deluxe Tune. Inside this DAKINE kit's zippered case you'll find everything from files to scrapers to wax, so you have all you need to create precisely tuned edges and a lightning-fast base.
Bottom Line: Don't let your tuning job suffer for lack of tools. Grab yourself the DAKINE Deluxe Tune.
I found this to be an adequate kit to get that necessary wax job done. It has all the tools to do the tune jobs that you need to knock down your edges or whatever, but I found the waxing very difficult. I am sure it's me and may work better for someone who knows what they are doing. For now, i'll keep practicing.
It has almost everything you need in it to basic tuning and repairs, its a great price, as the cheapest kit in Australia is around the $250 mark, i have used the previous version and haven't had any problems with it. My advise it, buy an Iron and always buy Wax suitable for the sking condition Temp.

This would be best for a beginner tuner without very specific tuning needs but beware, you'll need additional supplies. You would still have to buy an iron to heat up your wax and stones of different grits for proper deburring. The bevel tool only allows for angles of 0 OR 2 degrees, which may not be fine enough for skiers/riders who want edge bevels somewhere in between or >2.
It has pretty much everything you need it in it to basic tuning and repairs. I also bought a swix nylon brush to complement the kit and it fit inside the carrying pouch just fine. I have also ptexed and sharpened my edges using the kit and it worked just fine overall. I am very satisfied with this product.
Both kits work for skis or snowboards, since they use the same wax and such. If you are wanting to start up a home shop type deal where you can do all your own maintenance, I recommend the Super Tune, because waxing irons work way better than normal irons.
I found that this kit had everything i needed and even a few things i didn't. But the instructions that came with it didn't help much. I had to go on-line and watch a bunch of videos before i felt like i knew where to start. The wax is super fast though!!
decent kit to save you some bills each year or on long road trips and in need some board tlc. the file in the edge tuner can be a bit a coarse for an ultra high spec tune. however with some care it will get the job done just expect some extra time honing with the diamond stone... this kit will get it done for 80% of you reading this. if you live in the midwest or east you probably should have ordered this years ago.
Nice kit. Comes with everything besides an iron. Word to the wise - the file guide only lets you an edge bevel of 0 or 2 degrees. Also, the instruction manual is a little shady on some things - check out youtube for clearer instructions.
this kit is very basic. it will get you started tuning your skis, it kinda pissed me off that it said in the instructions it was only for snowboards but... the stones, file and edge tuner are worth the money. if your just starting out or looking for a throw away tuning kit i'd say its a good buy
This is a great kit to get you started at home! Comes with 2 scrapers, ptex, edge tool, file etc... The only thing lacking is a good base brush. The included scotch brite is cool but they wear out so a brush would be better. Other then that it works perfect for getting you going for tuning at home!
considering all the tools you get with this kit, they total cost of them is much more than the kit alone. they're not bad quality either and the wax smells good lol. it also comes with instructions on how to take care of your board!
Nice kit to get you started on basic tune-ups for your ride. As stated earlier, you'll still need a hot wax iron. For the "sale price", it makes it a better deal.
This kit has everything you need to start tuning and detuning a snowboard. My biggest grievance is that the edging angles are either 0 degrees or 2 degrees on the edge tuner but you can always buy another tuner. As for waxing, it comes with p-tex (one white stick and one black stick), wax, two scrapers, and scotchbrite, but it doesn't include a iron.
The DAKINE Deluxe Tuning Kit includes everything a skier or snowboarder needs to wax/tune their skis or board. The kit is all organized for you in a convenient black zippered case. Each item in the kit seems to be very high-quality and I'm pleased with all of it so far. The only thing NOT included is an iron, but for this price I can deal w/ it. (Check out the DAKINE Super Tune Tuning Kit- Item# DAK0836. It's basically the same kit but w/ an iron.) Great value!
I found this to be an adequate kit to get that necessary wax job done. It has all the tools to do the tune jobs that you need to knock down your edges more...
