Here's what others have to say...

does the zipper unzip the entire side of the bag or just the back half of the bag? In other words, if I lay the bag flat on the floor, can I open it like book? thanks

Hey Tony!

It has a wrap around zipper, so you would be able to open it like a book :)

What is the width of the 10'x2" bag?

I have a 10'x 32" SUP I need a bag for...

The dimensions for the 10'x2" bag are 10'2" x 27.5" according to Dakine's site, so this wouldn't quite be wide enough for you 32" SUP. Let me know if you have any other questions.

First bag, happy with my choice

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This bag fits true to size. I have a 7'6" funboard and bought the 8' as it was the smallest option at the time. There is indeed 6" of extra space (see pic), but this doesn't affect the carryability of the bag, so I'm happy with my choice.

The zippers are high quality with big teeth and should hold up against sand without problem. The material is also seems very durable. I think its biggest enemy will be UV light, not the other elements.

The bag is padded with 1/4" foam. It's not as thick as I expected and I don't think enough to protect the board against huge impacts, but it should suffice for even the most careless airline baggage workers.

Hi Ste,

Do you mean at the same time? I don't think so.

One at a time? Definitely, as long as you choose the correct length.

Also, keep in mind that the "carryability" of this bag decreases when the board is much smaller than the bag because the material on each side folds up (similar to my picture), making the board bob a bit. Probably not a big deal in most cases, but could be annoying.

Best in Class

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I've owned a dozen board bags in my lifetime, and this is one of the best. Zippers are the first thing I look at. The zipper on this bag is oversized and durable. It doesn't look like they will easily jam with sand and salt. I like the fact that you can easily remove the shoulder strap, and stow it in the exterior velcro pocket. I will more than likely pick up another for my 9'2".

what is the width of the 9'6" bag?

what is the width of the 9'6" bag?

Hey Georgi,

The size of the 9'6" bag is 27" wide the tail is 22.5" and the nose is 21.5". The full bag length is 9'10". Let me know if you have any other sizing questions.
