Sure, the DAKINE Cross X Gloves' molded knuckle pads protect your fingers if you wreck, but these gloves have features to keep you from crashing in the first place. Synthetic leather palms help you hang on when you're hauling through the chunder or landing a drop that uses up all nine inches of your bike's travel. These gloves also have silicone fingertips to give you all the grip you need to lock up the brakes and avoid taking the digger of your life on a nasty section of trail.

They seem to be pretty durable. The tighter they are, the more they tend to break at the seams (I know that's pretty obvious), but this is the second pair I've had and getting the right size seems to be pretty important. There's nothing wrong with them being a bit loose.
