These are awesome. My second set of gore tex gloves you can't beat it nothing worst then frozen fingers but with these your good to go. Dakine is a great company.

Great once bedded in

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have the previous generation Dakine Cobra, with the zip closure, and my main gripe was that the zipper was difficult to zip up when wearing. This new design with the cuff closure solves that problem and in my view is a far better system. Overall I found the Cobra to take a while to soften, pack out and become supple, but once it did, feels great. Very durable so far - I've done probably 50 days in mine so far, and they still look like brand new. Gore-tex liner means your hands are always dry. Overall, the Cobra is a great package.

reading reviews on other sites on these gloves consensus was they run small, do you agree?

I run the Large size, which are a perfect size for me, and my hand measures 23.5cm around - which is in the large range of the Dakine sizing chart. In saying that, I'm not a big guy 5'8", 155lb, and I run a medium in most things. I'd say if you use the sizing chart, you should be fine. Hope this helps.
