Great pack!

I got this last Xmas and I love it! Travels very well and lots of room for clothes items and easy access. The main compartment can be accessed through the back so if you need something from the bottom, it's right there. Brilliant! Very comfortable to wear and durable.

does this pack have a point and shoot...

does this pack have a point and shoot camera pocket on the waist strap?

Responded on

Ostensibly the pocket on the waist is for keys but it fits my point and shoot camera quite nicely; however, in the event of a crash it is quite likely to get crushed.

All you could ask for!

This bag does it all! I have used it on day hikes to a book bag for school, and lugging around 60+ lbs of books is no problem! You could literally wear it all day and not have a care in the world. The straps on your shoulders offer ultimate comfort and stability from your chest and waist straps. If your looking for a solid day hiking bag or heavy duty school bag, this is it!

Ohhh Baby!!!

I love the fact that you can go into Backcountry"s store and try on anything and everything! I went in there for another pack (to remain nameless) and realized that it was not what I needed. A friend recommended that try the Dakine Chute backpack. I did so, and it is perfect for me. I use it "All seasons". It can go on day hikes, weekend campouts, it hang on to me through all the dumb things I do on my dirtbike, and yes, it even goes skiing with me. All my gear, clothes, food and water fit. Period. The Ski "cable" is holding skis and not being sliced open. I can attach my sleeping bag with pad (no tent needed). It is just one strong pack. The sinch straps pull everything as snug as can be. And no it is not too big to be your resort pack either. Especially when I have three kids who, along with me, don't stop for lunch or anything for that matter. They all have sandwiches, granola bars, gloves, and drink from
"my" frickin water badder too
