    Sup Wassup A-Okay

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I travel quite a bit. I usually go for hard shell luggage, but wanted to try this out and so far so good. It's been on 3 trips, and I've only seen 1 other person with this bag, which caught us both a bit off guard at first. This is a popular bag for a reason. The handle is firm, the wheels are dope, the style of the bag stands out (though I recommend marking it as yours due to this bags popularity). The additional pouches are useful for a magazine or book, I wouldn't put a tablet in there. The beauty of soft shell luggage is the ability to over-pack them, so the outside pockets get a bit tight.

Overall a great bag, that easily carries 4 days worth of gear in here. I have my sleeping roll up, 1 pair of shoes, 1 pair of flops, 2 jeans, 2 shorts, 2 button ups, 3 t's 4 grungies, 4 socks and a hat no problem, with some room to spare.

Because it is a soft case it can fall over if over-packed, but for the most part this hasn't been an issue for me as of yet.

    Good ol' Dakine

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I needed a bag to double as a carry-on and a suitcase for my kids. When the bag arrived, I knew it would work as a carry-on, but it looked almost too small for a kids suitcase. I was totally wrong. It fits a ton with the expandable top and has the two roomy front pockets. Construction seems solid for it's purpose, easy to maneuver, looks good. Really love this bag.

    Solid Carry-on My Wayward Son

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Have you ever invested in a carry-on piece and then found that in fact that the airline has different size requirements? This one makes the cut. Perfect for the things you NEED to have in a carry on, but not bulky so that you throw other stuff in there to fill space for some reason. Safe travels everyone!

    Exactly what I needed

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I was looking for a carry on bag that would hold up to rugged abuse, including the rolling wheels. I like ho Dakine uses skate style wheels on these that are less likely to get caught like the rollerblade wheels. They're also lower profile. The telescoping arm seems pretty burly as well. Inside the main compartment, you get the max space to pack this thing to the brim. On the outside you have 2 pockets. I like using the bigger one for ipad etc and the smaller one for my wallet, phone etc. This bag rocks.

    Perfect Carry On

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought one of these for me and my boyfriend. -->I bought this bag for a week long trip back home. I didnt want to pack too much and i always take carry on bags instead of checking in. This bag met my expectations plus so much more. i packed it to the brim and i thought the seems would bust - but it was so sturdy and i was able to fit everything in there. I only wish there were some pockets inside the bag. But this is perfect for traveling and only wanting to carry on!

    Dakine Carry On Roller

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is a very lightweight roller bag. It is large enough to pack for a solid weekend; however, small enough to fit in the overhead bin on the airplane. My past roller bags have all been so heavy, but this bag is super light, yet durable.

    Road Warrior' Friend

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Needed a bigger carry on and Dakine does the job here. I can get 3+ days worth of clothes in this baby. Handle is good length and wheels run smooth. Fits in the overhead perfect. Heads up though.... This bag will not fit in the overhead of the Embraer commuter jets between cities. You will need to check the bag....

    Bomber!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I travel extensively for business and this carry on is a great value. It has held up to a lot of abuse that any piece of luggage receives from the airlines. It will fit nicely into the overhead of any flight that doesn't make you check planeside. I give it 5 stars!

    A-M-A-Z-I-N-G BAG!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love this bag. It opens up completely so it is really easy to pack. When i opened up the shipping box, it looked tiny, but once you get all your stuff into it, you find theres plenty of space. But only problem(have to agree with gra5896197) is that the wheels are a bit to grippy to drift around the airport...[solved problem buy just putting a couple pieces of scotch tape around them] :D

    A-M-A-Z-I-N-G BAG!

    Super Casual

Super casual bag! Wheels are good, handles solid... I fit steel toes shoes, a weeks worth of clothes and a tripod head and legs with a little work. Zippers are huge and solid... Fits in the overhead and it's easy to spot on the carasel... And it matches my cat ... so that's nice. I'd def buy it again and a bigger one to check...

Is this really 5lbs? I saw it advertised...
