Fricken huge!

I bought this as a birthday present for a friend who's really into photography. When it got here I was downright surprised at just how roomy it was and when I gave it to her she immediately transferred all her gear into it (lenses, body, film, flash, ect.) and she still had room to shove a sigg water bottle in there. Not saying its a bad thing or a good thing, its just a thing. If you need a jumbo camera bag then look no further!

The only downside about this bag is the shoulder strap. I understand that its meant to be an insert for a backback, but the shoulder strap on this thing is damn near useless and digs into your shoulder pretty bad. Just something potential buyers should be aware of!

This Block rocks!

I was looking for a camera backpack that could fit my photo gear AND my avalanche gear. None of the specified camera packs can fit both. I took a chance and bought the Dakine Pro II pack and the Dakine Camera Block. This combo works perfectly. I can fit my D300 body with 70-200(2.8) lens mounted, as well as 3 other lenses and flash unit.

Too big.

If you have 3 camera bodies and an 11 thousand dollar lens then maybe this would be the right size, but if you had that much stuff, you wouldn't be using this bag... This bag is way too big. I have a DSLR with 2 lenses and a flash and I don't come close to filling this thing up. Is plenty of room a plus? NO! If you're hiking/mtb-ing/snowboarding it's completely useless. Its size ruins its portibability. It doesn't fit into my Apex pack and I can't possibly imagine that it fits into the Mission pack since Dakine says that it's 200cu smaller. They could have cut the size down dramatically by getting rid of some extra space and removing the giant void my camera sloshes around in making this bag much more portable and useful.

Well, that's exactly what I needed to know! I've got a body with a grip, 5 lenses, and a flash, so I'll definitely use the space. I just hope it fits into my Elements pack.

Get a Lowepro MicroTrekker 100 and cut the straps off.

Fit's snugly in a standard mission backpack. Works great to keep my camcorder and lenses (fisheyes) safe in cold conditions or summer heat. Tight fit in Mission backpack by thats a good thing.

cheaply made! the inside fabric is only held on by a little glue. several times of moving the foam dividers to change up what gear you can carry and say goodbye to any hold that glue kind of had.

ps it also will not fit in a heli-pro backpack (several seasons old) even though dakine says that it will hold 1000cu in
