Description

Stylie gear storage.

Your ski boots and goggles don’t get along very well when they’re jostling around in the same compartment. Good thing the Dakine Women’s Boot Locker keeps them separate. The bottom section of this gear bag snugly stores your boots, while the top section houses your accessories—goggs, gloves, hat, and helmet.
  • Tarp-lined boot compartment doubles as changing mat to keep socks clean
  • Padded shoulder strap for comfortable carry
  • Top-compartment zipper so you can grab small items without unzipping entire bag

Where has this been my whole life? Great style, great quality and huge storage capacity. Drug this baby through a 60 day season and still looks like new. A great way to keep your stuff organized when you'd rather be shredding than futzing around in the parking lot getting ready.

I didn't expect the bag to be so huge but it is huge. I can fit my gears plus my sister's gears into the bag, which does include both of our boots, pants, jackets, gloves, thermals, etc. It's very convenient especially for travel.

Would the bag qualify as a carry on item on the airplane or is it too big?

This bag is 50 linear inches. Most airlines allow bags 45 to 50 inches, so it will depend on the airline.

Have people been able to count this as the airline's boot bag? I recently had trouble with a similar bag (not made by a ski company but with a drop bottom) that the airline said wasn't an "approved boot bag". The airline hasn't been able to clarify what that means and says they can make a judgement call.

It probably depends on the airline. Delta has no size limits or description simply that a ski bag and boot bag are considered one bag if the combined weight is less than 50 pounds. I've had very few problems over the past few years wih a simliar bag. I've been overweight and they waited patiently while I transferred some stuff. another time I got someone that started to tell me that it wasn't a "boot bag" and I told her that the Delta website doesn't define what a boot bag is but I consider a helmet necessary ski gear as well that is what the top compartment is for. She quickly dropped the argument. It was as if she had a mental lapse and then came to her senses.

Love this bag. Packed my boots, helmet, goggles, ski pants, couple of pair of ski underwear tops and bottoms, socks, and some other accessories I crammed in the bare spots. It was still way under the allowable weight and manageable with the shoulder strap attached if needed. I checked it as it's probably not going to fit in most overheads but you could measure the height and try if it's not crammed full.

This is a great bag! It's bigger than I thought it was going to be so when I first got it I was a little skeptical but as I started packing things into it the size was great to have. For snowboarding it's awesome, I throw all of my stuff in it, boots in the bottom and all of my clothes plus helmet and goggles up top. I travel a lot too and while I'm on the road I put my workout gear (shoes, resistance bands, workout dvd's, sweaty clothes, etc) in the bottom and all of my clean stuff up top. At first, I wish that it had some organizing pockets, but after using it I don't mind their absence. The tarp lining is awesome in case anything explodes and for wet boots in the bottom. Love this bag and super happy I got it. Don't let the size stop you, it's large and in charge when it comes to lugging your gear around.

Can this bag really hold ski boots, a helmet, pants, mid layer, and socks? I'm looking for a medium size bag to carry my boots and gear. I have been very unsuccessful however.

There's plenty of room for everything - goggles, helmet, gloves, jacket and pants if need be.

The bag was slightly bigger than i thought but it can be used as a overnight bag for non snow related activities. It can pretty much fit most of your gear in it. It has both a shoulder strap and shorter carry handles as seen in the picture.

Great bag! Love the seperate compartment for the boots to keep the rest of my stuff dry. Lots of space in the top compartment- I fit my helemt, pants, jacket, socks, gloves with room for more

Does this have an over the shoulder strap?...

Does this have an over the shoulder strap? Also with the storage compartment for the boots, does it have something to separate them so your ski boots don't clank against each other?

It does have an over the shoulder strap. There is no separating bar in the bottom but you could always roll up a pair of old socks or t-shirt to do the trick. There is a lot of room in this bag!

My wife loves the bag. Boots fit great and there is plenty of room for all her gear for the mountain.

Dakine boot bag is awsome to keep your boots in perfect size so they don't hit together when you walk, a little big, but good because it fits alot with the huge pocket on the top

Anyone know if this is ok as a carry-on for flights, or if everything holds up ok in checked luggage? I usually carry boots on but thought this may be a little too big. Thanks!

If totally full its a bit of a tight squeeze, but it does fit and i have taken mine as a carry on many times.
