I bought this pack a little over a year ago. It is good for carrying lunch for a day at the resort. I also use it as my backpack for school.. However I do not recommend it for the backcountry, mainly because the board hold is not that sturdy, and the board tends to lean to one side, and does not make for a comfy fit when hiking/skinning/snowshoeing.
I would recommend the heli-pro dakine model over this one. Or Osprey out of Colorado, check those packs out. They are super solid in the back country
