Not what I expected from Dakine
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
TL;Dr no good for camping, hiking, etc like I'm used to Dakine products being, even lower end models like this.
Having owned multiple Dakine backpacks in the past, I was a little let down by the quality of this backpack, even for one if their lower end models.
The last Dakine backpack I bought about three years ago has held up great for school, skiing, camping, and hiking, while still only costing less than $50.
This backpack I bought on sale for $45, and is nothing like the others I've owned. While still decent quality, I would not use this backpack outside of school, as the canvas it is made out of its relatively thin and fragile.
The design does, however, look great, and I enjoy how light and comfortable it is.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Good and very nice looking.
Great pack, but wrong pack
We bought this pack with the understanding from our sales consultant that it could hold/carry a long board. Not so. Long board is much too heavy and too long. We did keep it and our other nephew is using it to 'carry and go' with his skateboard. For that purpose, inwhich it was probably designed, it's great. It seems to be constructed well and is really good looking.
built to last
super durable pack. material is thick, zippers are solid...this thing wont let you down
simple and durable, skateboard straps work great
