Durable, cleans easily, decal is cheap

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Works great, no problems. Cleans up easily like everyone said. If you are anal-retentive, you may get annoyed that prolonged use of the trainer in one spot will leave indentations on the mat. Also, the sticker will come off if you roll it up to store. My 2 year old easily removed it because it had begun to crinkle after about 1 year of ownership (the mat, not the kid).

amazing no matter what level you are at.

I am by no means a professional athlete, but this mat definitely does the job. It keeps the trainer from making any substantial marks on a hardwood floor and allows you to sweat with no fear of causing damage to the floor. My wife is definitely the one that uses it the most, as she trains 4-6 hours a day and needs to get a ride in every single day so she can stay in tip-top shape for the season. It allows you to get on it with no fear of sliding around due to the potential instability the block might have without it.

Simple need, nice execution

Maybe you ride indoors with a fan blowing on you, maybe you don't. In either event, you sweat like hell on the trainer and this mat makes it so that your carpet or floor doesn't get pooled up with yr sweat. This mat is sticky on the bottom side so it won't slip, and you can step on it with cleats without falling. Big enough for a bike-on-a-trainer, or for a Cycleops Indoor Bike.

Does anyone knows how thick this mat is?

Approximately 1/8" (3 mm)
There's a very slight bevel at the edge so it was hard to get a more exact measurement with the tools available

Quality Mat

Yes, this is just a thick piece of rubber with some texture and nice finishing. Your trainer or rollers will stay in place, and you won't sweat on your carpet or wear down the contact points (where the legs of the trainer or roller hit the rug). I had my rollers set up in a loft for a bit, and I swear the beams vibrated at some points, and but not once I got this training mat. The vibration absorption may sound silly, but it's true.

SAVE YOUR FLOORS, Buy a mat.

Durable. Cleans up easily. Protects the carpets/floors from sweat and bike junk during those long winter spins. Works a lot better then an old towel or cut open trash bag on the ground. Lost a star because it still seems a little expensive for what it is.

Nice, thick mat.

I bought these to go with the rollers I also bought from here, and I like it quite a bit. It is a nice thick material, and definitely keeps the carpet in better shape than it would be with sweat dripping into it all the time. A simple product, but sometimes those are the best ones .

Your carpet will love you.

When you want your car to have that glistening appearance, you add a coat of wax. For your indoor environment, your carpet (or at least your significant other) would appreciate not getting hosed with bunch of sweat from your Spinerval or Carmichael training DVD workout. Save the trouble of both cleaning the carpet and making amends with that special someone and put this piece of wonderful plastic on the ground. I have one that I use for my training mat when I need to during the winter. When it is not being used as a sweat collector, I use it under my bike and Ultimate Pro (found here on Backcountry) repair stand. Those flecks of black grease have no where to go with this mat under your bike.
