Powertap Pro Wireless MTB Disc Hub

The CycleOps PowerTap Pro Wireless MTB Disc Hub represents a new era in mountain biking -- training with data. Previously, with the rare exception of the few of us who purchased SRM mountain cranksets, mountain bikers looking to train to their full potential have been forced to rely largely on their heartrate monitors. Solid input from the Pro Wireless Disc Hub allows you to quantify data, and identify strengths and weaknesses so you can adapt your training to be most effective.

The Pro Wireless MTB Disc Hub uses the ANT+ protocol that's compatible for use with the Joule cycling computer, or any other ANT+ device such as Garmin GPS units. Now power transmission can be monitored on any bike without having to purchase multiple sensor harnesses; just swap wheels and you're ready to go. The ANT+ wireless protocol allows for a lighter unit that uses less power for longer battery life.

The CycleOps PowerTap Pro Wireless Disc Hub uses the same advanced electronics packaging within the hub as it's road counter parts. This gives PowerTap protection from contamination by rain, mud and trail grit. Unlike the road specific models, CycleOps uses an oversized alloy axle with 135mm spacing to keep weight low while offering enhanced stiffness. It's available with 32 spoke drilling and it's compatible with both SRAM and Shimano cassettes.
