Finally, a sports bra that can comfortably support larger cup sizes—the CW-X Women's XTRA Support Bra. This sports bra offers comfortable support for larger cup sizes up through 38DD. CW-X made this athletic bra with Coolmax, Lycra, and Healtha materials, which stretch and wick moisture to keep you comfy and dry. The XTRA Support Bra has a Soft Support Web that CW-X built into each cup. This web includes mesh material on the front of the cup panel, which reinforces the already stout support. Crossover racer-back reinforcements offer back support while a back hook-and-clasp closure makes this bra easy to put on and get off.
Bottom Line: If you have a larger cup size and want to workout in comfort, sport the CW-X XTRA Support Bra.
I have tried every sports bra out there, even wearing two bras at once and nothing has ever given me the support I was looking for, until now! I am a D and when I'm not skiing down the mountain I am in the gym training. That means I am constantly running, jumping, and lunging and this bra stands up to the task. It may feel tight when you first put it on, but give it a minute and you'll see why its so great!
I really do like this bra, out of 4 that I bought to try, I would rate it as my 2nd favorite. Top choice would be Northface Dyn-O-Mite sports bra...Good support for a 36 C,and I like the fit and look of the Dyn-O-Mite. The CW-X does have REALLY good support. The only weaknesses, are the clasp in back is a bit hard to do up and undo. And, it has the lines in front that look weird under a running shirt. If they could redesign the lines so it had a smoother look, it would be almost perfect!
Does the hook closure in the back COMPLETELY opens the bra for taking on and off? Or, is it a "pullover" your head to remove? I don't want a bra you have to take off by pulling over your head...
Jackie- The CW-X Xtra Support Bra opens half way in the back, but you still need to pull it over your head and shoulders. If you want a fully opening design, check out the CW-X Ultra Suport bra. It's the latest design that opens completely in the back and has three adjustment points on the back strap and shoulder straps. The support system is the same as the Xtra support bra which works perfectly. The Ultra Support bra comes in Band and cup sizing. Hope this answers your question.

I am a 34D and could not be happier with this bra. It is so supportive for my runs and yet is very comfortable for those days when I have a sports bra on for hours and hours. I now only need to wear one bra, which definitely makes it worth the money!
Ireally like this bra and I like them tight, this one runs small and the medium was way to tight. I had to size up to a large and it is perfectly comfortable and I still have the support I was looking for.
I'm a 36D in EVERY bra I wear, so I ordered that size for this one. When I clasped the hook, it was extremely tight and very uncomfortable. I'm average size and even have a smaller ribcage than most, so I didn't think I would have a problem fitting into this sports bra, but I was very wrong. Even if it fit properly, it's tighter around the front of my armpits than I would prefer. I will be returning this and buying a completely different sports bra, one that is true to size!
I agree. I normally wear a 36B. Ordered the size that their chart recommended and it is wayyyyy too tight! I can't move or do my yoga exercises in it :( I definitely recommend going up to the 38.
I recently purchased the CW-X XTRA Support Sports Bra. It is very comfortable, but seems to be a little on the tight side. I would definitely recommend the 38DD.
I bought this bra a couple of years ago right after I had my baby. I was nursing at the time and wanted to get back in shape also. I needed something that would support, but not squish them. I didn't think that was possible, but it was!! This bra did excatly that! I bought this same one after I had my second baby because it worked so well. I am just as pleased!! I appreciate that there is a product out there that does excatly what it promises to do. I recommend this to anyone who would like great support without feeling like they can't breath. I still used the bra even when I was done nursing because the support was still great even after my size had changed.
I'm a little confused about the sizing. Is the (36 B/C) mean it fits a 36B or C? At a 36DD, the sizing chart says I should be wearing the Medium? Please help. I am having a hard time finding a well-fitting sports bra.
Ok. Given that this bra is especially made for women with larger cup sizes, I'm a little surprised to see that Backcountry's stocked up only on B/C sizes. Makes you wonder a little bit what size bra the buyer wears, doesn't it? (Or if he even wears a bra?) I looked into it, because this looks interesting to me too. Go to the CW-X website and click on their fitting link. The PDF doc that you download does a really good job of explaining fit. Here's the link: http://tinyurl.com/6rdvuwUnfortunately, it looks like you may have to go elsewhere to find the size you need. Sorry about that.
I purchased this sport bra about 4 weeks ago and I absolutely LOVE it. It provides fantastic support and is very comfortable, as well. I'm amazed that it provides such incredible support without creating an unsightly uniboob. I'm a 38D, and when I run in this sports bra, the girls are goin' nowhere! This bra ROCKS!!!
I usually wear Underarmor sports bras for they lock them down as well, but this bra not only provides great support, but I forget I even have it on. I am a 38 B and ordered the size I would normally order and it fit great. Highly recommend this Xtra support bra.
I run and recently had breast reduction surgery and needed something to wear that stopped all movement completely. This did it! It's very comfortable once you get it on and breathes very well. After running for over an hour or so, I don't have to immediately rip it off to keep from chaffing. I highly recommend this!
This bra provides plenty of support for vigorous exercise and is quite comfortable. The clasp in the back can be a little difficult to fasten and unfasten, but otherwise it's perfect. Incidentally, I'm a 38B.
This bra did the impossible...almost no movement, even when running sub-6 minute miles! :) I am a large 34C and always wear out bras quickly...this works like a charm!! The only little snafu is getting it over your chest, but once it's settled in, you're set to go for anything! :)
Awesome bra. I love it since I don't have to think about my boobs at all. They are a non issue when I run or cycle but it still gives me a decent shape. I thought the over the head model with a fastener in back was going to be a pain but it is really quite easy to negotiate. I would recommend this to anyone who is a B cup. I am not sure what it would be like for someone larger but I imagine that it would be good as well.
I haven't run for about three years; among the reasons was the discomfort of bouncing. The first time I ran with the CW-X, I didn't even think about the bra. I forgot I was wearing it. Somewhere in mile two, I remembered and began to appreciate the wonderful design: non-binding, light, snug, and--wow!---comfortable.
while expensive, this bra is worth it. i am glad i purchased two of them. it is an almost perfect sport's bra, not sure there really is one out there?? my only small complaint is that on very long runs (over four hours) the metal clip in the back has given me slight chafing marks..so ive wondered how it will hold up in 50/100 mile runs. but so far, minor compared to many other bras.
I bought this sports bra for my 13 year old who plays basketball and is very active. She is rather busty for her age and I have spent many dollars trying to find the right bra that provides her enough support. This bra has solved the problem. It holds things in place while active. It has a snug fit but not too tight according to my daughter. It looks great under her uniform.
This bra is awesome, the quality is impressive, has great ventilation, has great support front and back. The only problem I had is that it was too tight on the back, which is weird because it is the same size as this one (http://www.backcountry.com/outdoorgear/CW-X-Ventilator-Support-Bra-Womens/CWX0019M.html) that also bought with the same size, but still I love it, I think it is a great product.
I had read the reviews from the others about this support bra...and I concur!! This is the best running support bra I have in my closet. If you need/want to keep the girls happy, buy this bra, you won't be disappointed.
Love the material. I am a bigger build and 145 pounds and a B/C cup size. I ordered a large. It was a tight fit, but I love the tight support. No movement at all. White and Lilac is super cute. The back closure give an added tightness.
This bra is great! I am super active and hate feeling like a girlie girl out in the field. This bra gives me the support I need to feel comfortable in whichever activity I am participating in. I highly recommend this product! CW-X rocks.
Finally, a bra made for the people with small backs! The 32D is awesome, the hook was difficult for me to negotiate at first, but I think I will get the hang of it. It is tight at first but appears to be breaking in and this bra is super compression, super supportive. Running, not a problem, not as much bounce with other bras. If you are a D cup, I'd spend the cash and get a good bra like this one. The only gripe I have, is that it is not super flattering and goes up the chest really high, that's why I put the 4 star rating. If it's under a t-shirt, whatever, but if you want to wear a tank top while you run that has a lower v neck, it might look kind of silly but whatever, it holds you in. Most D bras aren't super flattering anyway! Works great, recommend!
I have tried every sports bra out there, even wearing two bras at once and nothing has ever given me the support I was looking for, until now! I am a D more...
I really do like this bra, out of 4 that I bought to try, I would rate it as my 2nd favorite. Top choice would be Northface Dyn-O-Mite sports bra...Good more...
