Haven't really tried other tri-tops but this one is just awesome. Tried swimming in it. Definitely feel the support. I don't feel the need to swear something else underneath. Will yet to try how it feels riding the bike with it but I would not expect to run into any problems. The material is thick enough for that purpose as well.

All depends on height and weight. I am about a 34 waist, 163lbs, 5'11. I wear a medium. if you are heavier...more than about 173lbs, I would go to a large size. Hope that helps.
