C-WX Ventilator Tri shorts review

Ran 5 miles in them & not going back to shorts.

I might wear them in da hot tub!

I'm 5'11, and still growing. Weigh 130lb. at the moment I'm probably a Small... but if I grow, show I just get the Medium?

Also - will the chamois be annoying when running, or it is unnoticeable?

Tim, I run in these all the time - mostly when I go out for several hours on the trail. The chamois is completely unnoticeable so that is no problem. Totally comfortable and never any chaffing. As for size, going with their sizing chart, I am at the low end of Large and they fit very snuggly so you might be able to get away with a medium.

    Great all around compression short

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I've got another pair of CW-X compression but they are just too hot for warm days. These are great - good ventilation and excellent support. Never feel too hot on warm days. Great for long runs and all day skiing or hiking outings.

    Great tri shorts.

I wore these shorts for my first Ironman triathlon through all three disciplines and they were perfect.

are these shorts ok to wear also for the swimming leg of the triathalon? thanks!

They're a good material to get wet because they'll dry pretty quickly, but I'd be slightly concerned about chafing if you jumped straight on a bike with them. Although I don't know if there's any material that won't do that, so these are as good as any.

    Not Just Tri..

    • Gender:Male

I am not a triathlete by any means. I do however Ski, Bike and Hike alot. These are my go to "underwear" whenever I'm hiking, spring skiing, or just using them for muscle recovery from bike rides.

I have a couple of sets of compression shorts, and these are by far the most comfortable. I'm 6' 175lbs 34" waist and the Large fits me perfect. The crotch has a fleece chamois that is very comfortable to wear. I've worn these multiple days at work and they do no irritation to me.

I wish I had two sets, but at almost $90 a pop thats a little steep.

Which compression shorts would be best for summer sports-golf & hiking? I have hip flexor and lower back issues.

    Excellent Tri-top

Haven't really tried other tri-tops but this one is just awesome. Tried swimming in it. Definitely feel the support. I don't feel the need to swear something else underneath. Will yet to try how it feels riding the bike with it but I would not expect to run into any problems. The material is thick enough for that purpose as well.

What size should I order for a 34-36 waist?

        Best Answer

All depends on height and weight. I am about a 34 waist, 163lbs, 5'11. I wear a medium. if you are heavier...more than about 173lbs, I would go to a large size. Hope that helps.

Question for the CW-X rep, could you upload a photo of the chamois? I'm assuming it does have one...?
