Hi Everyone- Please note, this new 2011 reflective version of the CW-X Stabilyx Tight is almost exactly the same as the existing version. You can read reviews here. http://www.backcountry.com/cw-x-stabilyx-tight-womens-cwx0033 The main new feature is what CW-X calls 360 degree reflective. There are 4 strategically placed reflective flash strips on the tights that show up at night and in the early AM during those early morning or night runs. Check these new Reflective Stabilyx Tights out and if you already own a pair of the old ones, maybe think about getting an additional pair for running at dusk and dawn. Cheers.
Overall, these tights do prevent excessive hip and knee pain on my longer runs (although after 12 miles nothing is going to prevent my inevitable soreness). The only problem is that I'm 6'1" so the medium tights are a bit short on me and definitely not too tight. The reflective strips also start to peal after only a few weeks. I'd still recommend these even with the slight problems!

CW-X makes incredible tights. This is my 3rd pair. The reason I only gave it 4 stars though, is the reflective strips don't seem to be very durable. The basic tight though, is the best I've ever used.
Scored on these tights w/ a discount on CW-X products on BackCountry! But...totally worth the full price! Great for long runs and cooler temps! Not sure how long the reflective pieces will last over time due to the tightness of the compression, but still a great product. My legs feel great to start, during a long run, and for recovery. Will also be great for recovery from long efforts on the bike.
I just ran a 5K and I ran my fastest pace ever - I'm thinking largely due to my new CW-X Stabilyx Tights! I'm 5'7", 120 lbs, w/ a 2-4 size waist - the small fit perfectly. The only thing to watch out for are the foot openings. They are a bit narrow, even for me w/ narrow feet and scrawny legs. Otherwise, they're great for a chilly day and you'll instantly feel the support. I' bought these to prevent deterioration for a long future of running. =) The reason why these stood out among others are the front & back reflectivity on both legs. ...so much better than the tiny little logo by the waist covered by my shirt on tights from other brands.
these tights are pretty sweet so far. only worn 'em a few times, but you can really feel the compression. as for size (because i fretted over this myself) i am 5'5", 140 lbs, right on the cusp weight wise between a S and M. I went with M and I'm really glad that I did because the M is quite snug, maybe a little on the long side for my height but i think that is OK.
Ok, I was really hesitant to throw down this kind of money for running tights, but I got them on sale on SAC. I have used them a few times, and I have definitely noticed that my legs feel different. Typically after running for more than a mile-ish, I feel the pounding and the gravity pull on my muscles, and the more tired I get, the more everything seems to pound. With these on, my muscles were held in place, and I didn't seem to get as tired in my legs (lungs are a different story, lol!) which is a big thing for me to stay running. So they do keep things very held together and stable, hence the name. If you are an avid runner, or want to bump up your game but need to push past a hurdle, I would recommend trying these guys out. the only frustrating thing about them is when you put them on, it's like trying to put on a hot water bottle. Follow the size guide, but just be patient at first. Scrunch it all the way down to the end of the leg and work it up your legs like a (really tight!) pair of pantyhose. Be prepared to jump and wriggle around to make them fit correctly. Once you have them on though, take off!!!
