CW-X Element X Pant - Women's - 2007 BCS

The pants are windproof, but a little short. I am 5'6" and my ankles show. I decided to keep the pants because I will wear them with tights and my tights cover my ankles.

I've only worn as warm ups on race days. They make a really dashing looking warm up, that's easy to get on and off, without taking shoes off. I suppose if I had to run in cold rain/wind or snow, I'd wear them then, otherwise I'd be afraid of overheating.

I liked the pants but they were way to short, I'm only 5'6" & they were up to my ankle. I had to send them back. I love my Pro tights.

I love CW-X gear, but these pants were way too short. I am 5'9" and the length was just above my ankles. I'm sending them back. Too bad.

Really like these wind pants. Haven't tested them out in poor conditions yet, but I think they'll be great for an all-purpose wind pant. I appreciate the ankle zips AND the pockets - too many women's athletic clothes do not have pockets, like women don't need to carry a key or a GU or a credit card when they are out and about! I also like the fact that the legs are not tapered. Tapered pants really don't suit me...don't cover your ankles, or if you where with hiking boots, you are out of luck. Non-tapered, like these, are more utilitarian for me.

I see that some people thought these were way too short - for me, the length was perfect...covering the ankles but not dragging the ground. I am 5'7", but I usually have to hem my pants 2"+ (prefer a 29-30" inseam vs 32").

The warm ups are comfortable and seem durable. I've worn them while on an orienteering course and they stood up quite well in the brush. I've also worn them running and around the house. My only complaint would be is that they seem a bit short on me, but I do have a longer inseam that normal and I tend to like pants to bunch up a bit on my shoes. Otherwise, the pants were definitely worth the purchase price.

These pants are wonderful when running in the wind,the rain, and the cold, but I feel like I'm wearing "high-waters". I'm only 5'6" with average leg length and they hit right at the top of my ankle.
