Really good deal for the price

Very soft. Thicker than I was expecting, I don't think I'd want to be going all out with this thing on in anything over 45F weather. Color is way more of a dark grey than the pictures seem to indicate. Seems to be pretty good construction but I just got it so time will tell.

Fit is definitely slim, but true to sizing IMO. I'm 6'2", ~195lbs, ~47" chest, and 36.5" sleeve. The XL feels pretty form fitting but not skin tight through the body, maybe a tad too wide in the forearms. The sleeve cuff hits me right below the wrist, the waist is about half way down the back pockets on normal fit jeans. Just about perfect on length for casual wear, I'm wondering if they might wind up being a little short for me on the road bike, should be good for MTB. Planning to break it in on a road ride tomorrow, so I'll find out soon.

Overall, I'd say a really good value for the price. Seems to be pretty good quality wool and construction. It's good looking sweater, even if it's a little slimmer fitting than I would normally wear casually and seems like the cut should work relatively well for chilly rides.

very nice

I'm still astonished that I was able to purchase a 100% merino wool high quality sweater for under $100. For a bit over $20, this is most impressive.

So, yeah, it's a really nice sweater, good length, good build quality, excellent materials. Love it.

I'm 6'3" and 210 lbs, and long in the torso and arms . The XL fits perfectly.

Great sweater

Great sweater, great fit, great price and classic styling. I brought it along to Mexico (just in case) and wore it almost everyday. Perfect for those cool mornings.

great deal.. nothing wrong with my XL size

Don't know what everyone is complaining about with the size issue. I'm 6' about 175lbs and fairly long torso. The XL fits me just fine with just a slight amount of sleeve wrinkle. It's the style guys... look at the pictures. Thats how it fits. Very stylish sweater, I would wear it out to dinner. what a great price. very happy.

Tits

snagged it from chainlove for a great price. Very comfy, not itchy, and a good fit. Dont really plan on using it for riding so the pockets in the rear are goofy, but the longer hem in the back is kickass. Im 6ft, on the skinny side, and the large is perfect. long sleeves and length below my ass, but not anything like a tall tee. only complaint is the neck is pretty snug when zipped all the way up. its warm if your not moving, but it can feel like your naked if theres any sort of wind. Get it.

nice, however

The sweater was great. The problem was your sizing chart for the sweater. It was like a dress on me. I gave it to my father-in-law. Might as well have tried on a tent. I wear the size as described in the chart. What I received, though marked properly by tag, was no where near the correct size.

Nice

It is big. 6'4" w/36" sleeves and this XL is a tad long. Seems quite well made and the chest fits fairly well. Haven't ridden with it yet. $25 for a Merino is a deal. Rear pockets are side access vs top which is a little odd.

Fits great. Super deal.

I have no idea where all the sizing comments are coming from. Maybe the smaller sizes? I am 6'1" 210lbs, bought the large and couldn't ask for a better fit. Love the big rear pockets with vertical zippers on each side. Great fall or spring cycling sweater. Haters gonna hate, don't hesitate, this jersey is great.

You Might Like it Too!

I recommend this sweater. I have had one of these for two months. I am 6' even and 175 pounds. The large fits me well. The wool is very soft and not at all scratchy. The zipper works well. The sleeve are the right length (I take a 34"-35" sleeve). I have worn this under a wind proof jacket for rides in Colo. when the temperature was in the 40's and stayed comfortable.

me likey

well i had been eyeing this sweater for quite a while and decided to bite when it came up for $25. i am 5'-11" 155lbs. even though i usually wear a medium i went with the large (it was what was offered) even with all the size comments and am not in the least dissappointed. The fit is great, it DOES NOT FIT WIERD at all on or off the bike. Bottom line-really nice and stylish wool sweater.

Junk

I returned mine as soon as I tried it on. Way too big for the listed size and it just looked chintzy.

Good sweater

Kind of a weird fit. I'm 6'2 150 lbs and the medium needed a bit of shrinking to fit and it's still kinda long in the torso. After that I wore it every day for a week.

Fits great

I would imagine if you have the average build of a road cyclist (that of a twelve year old girl) this may not fit so well. If you are built like a real man however, this should fit great. I got a large, I am 6'2" and weigh 220, the large fits great, and is so comfortable. If you love Merino wool, there is no reason to pass this up, this is the biggest steal on the internet. Those whining about fit are little girls, they are just angry this sweater had the audacity to point out their inadequacies as men.

too big

this sweater would probably be fine as a casual sweater, but as a cycling wool layer it just doesn't fit. Even bought one size smaller it is too long in the sleeves and body and baggy. It is also very heavy weight. So if you are looking to use this for casual wear, go ahead and buy but its not going to work for its intended use, cycling.

Awesome layering for snowsports...

great fit, great length - long body and arms, zipper
will be my middle layer under my puffy jacket, great cause unlike most layers you can unzip when in the chalet or bar or restaurant...merino is the best and you cant beat 25$ for a nice lookin super comfortable merino zip top.

The sweater is money

I bought this sweater and love it. It looks preppy enough that I can wear it to work, but looks casual enough to wear to the bar. Oh, and it guess it would probably work for riding too. The pockets in the back are so discreet you wouldn't know they are there. I wear a large and I think the fit is perfect, it's a little long, but I don't like sweaters that barely cover my belt.

I liked it.

I read all the review and still decided to buy but, size down. Its warmer than your common hoodie. I am 6'3'' and 215 and bought a large. It was a little little long in the body length and just right in the arms, and I wouldn't really say its tight on the torso but its definitely not loose. The only con I have is that the zipper and neck line are pretty tight. Its not a big deal since I just don't zip it up all the way.

Overall: I say it was a good buy.

Yeah, what those other reviews said

I've been wanting this thing since I first spotted it on bonktown last year. I've seen it range from $90-$50 and when it finally showed up on bonk for $30 I decided to lock it up. Big mistake, just as every other review states, this is better served as awesome 80's dress, than it is bike sweater. Now I'm sad that I need to ship it back. DON'T DO IT!

Responded on

Is that because you are built like a little girl? Because it fits me great, but then, I am built like I should be, a man.

too bad the Sizing is wrong

Warm and comfortable, and hipster look. too bad the sizing is off. I got a small and it's still to big! I usually hover between small or medium, so it's not like i'm a midget. Long on the sleeve and hangs over my butt. Maybe it was mislabelled. Wish I could keep it, but had to return.

Didn't like the cutter cut

Really runs big!! I felt like I had on a dress. I didn't care for the way it was cut on the shoulders. I was not going to wear this on the bike, so it would have been better to have front facing pockets.
