Very small

This is a good bag, but it is very small. I have a 12.1" Lenovo and it barely fits in the laptop sleeve. I usually have to shove it to get it to fit in. If you're looking to fit a textbook, it would be a tight squeeze. I can fit my nalgene bottle and lunch, and maybe a jacket, but not much else.

I don't want to ding the bag too much for its size. It is very well constructed, very comfy, and has a ton of pockets. Almost too many. A lot of the pockets are super long and I lose my keys in them all the time. Given the small size of the bag, it also seems rather heavy. It is fairly comfortable, though, and I think it looks slick.

Bottom line - if you're looking for a small laptop bag, this might be worth looking into. I got this on SAC, otherwise it is definitely not worth the $145 retail price tag.

Liked but returned

I was very impressed with this bag. The straps feel like they are welded to the pack. It's sturdy, comfortable. The laptop case is rugged and suspended in the bag. Felt bulletproof.

As much as I liked this bag, I ultimately returned it. The reason is that it couldn't accommodate the legal-size files that I often carry for work when fitted with the laptop compartment due to it's curvy shape. This bag will fit a lot of gear, a mabook or other similarly sized laptop and probably a textbook or two.

I will definitely order other Crumpler products in the future. This was a first time purchase from Backcountry.com. The outstanding service ensures it won't be my last.
