Crispi built the Diablo AT Boot for the backcountry ripper who needs a stiff, lightweight setup for hard-charging steep-and-deep psychosis. That means fast up and fast down. The Diablo comes with a carbon-reinforced Pebax shell and ultra-light thermo-moldable liner for uncompromised power and feather weight. Go crazy.

  • Kogatz sole for solid grip on the climb
  • Three-position forward lean adjustment so you can personalize your aggression
  • Four micro-adjustable buckles for stiffness and custom fit

Bottom Line: The Diablo makes every day a powder day.

This boot kicks ass down and does ok uphill. I can't say that I have much to compare it against other than my BC XC setup, but these boots are heavy! More Downhill than uphill here. However, I worked as a ski instructor in these boots for 8+ hours a day with no complaints. I have skinny ankles and I had to put extra padding in the tongue to get a good fit. The sole on the toes has come loose on both boots, lame. They should be able to handle a 3 hour uphill hike and without the sole splitting! snow then gets clogged in there... and I cant clip in. The heel of the boot is too tall for my bindings and I had to shave off the sole to make it fit. Overall, these boots have a less than average fit and the problem with the soles is silly. Spend some more money and get something else.

Nice stiff AT boot with good walk mode.

I was looking for a nice stiff AT boot, and after reading some great reviews in Italian, I knew this boot was the right choice. Super stiff and crazy articulation on the downhill, and amazingly comfortable and flexible walk mode for the uphill. I was riding with a friend with the new Dynafit titans, I was amazed how closely our walk modes compared in movement, making for an easy climb, and tearing up the downhill these were about as stiff as my Lange dowhhill boots. Definitely my greatest purchase for getting into AT, these boots will be alongside me until I (can afford to) go fully Dynafit. Anything less I wouldn't have the support I demand in the backcountry.
BTW the liner packs a little quickly, but the boot is excellent, and with intuitions they have almost no flaws.

They do not have a real bellows. It is just a solid plastic design that looks like a bellows.

Hi Alex. I notice these boots have "bellows" to allow bend at the toe. But will they fit in my Fritchie Diamir Freeride bindings.... Or any other Alpine DIN binding.
Cheers Andrew
