Backpacking MUST

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I grab this guy on any trip I go on! Not only is it a snazzy color combination of Blue and Green, but it is super lightweight and easy to attach to the outside of a pack! As a result of the light weight you do pay for a little comfort though, but it fixes itself with variability. Compared to the original Chair, this has a less 'stuff' between you and the ground resulting in the less comfort I just mentioned. The greatest camp chair!

Most envied person status guaranteed!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This little awesome looking guy is just pure fantasticness! Apart from it being an eye-catcher (speaking of my blue-green version), it is a luxury I take on backpacking trips now, that I don't want to miss again. It is super comfy to sit on ( can even be used as an improvised version of an outdoor rocking chair), it insolates your butt from the elements below, meaning it keeps you warm and dry. I found it great sitting down in this thing while starting my dinner with my whisperlite camp stove, which sometimes takes a while. Sitting down in this chair, makes it all the more enjoyable. Since I have a tiny light-weight tent that you can barely sit up straight in, it is also great to use this chair inside the tent for rainy reading days. Just laying around can get pretty tiring and results in sore spots after a whole day. Pretty much whenever I unrolled this little friend, I got envious questions where I got it from etc. It is lightweight and you can attach it pretty easy to some backpack side pocket, you should always find a spot for the camp chair for sure!
So I hope I convinced you there is just no way camping without this buddy!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is an AWESOME chair. I take mine everywhere - no exaggerations. This little guy is fantastic on backpacking trips, it's ridiculously light, incredibly comfortable, and comes with a cool little loop so you can just clip in onto the side of your pack. Excluding food and water, this is my number one must have on a trip.

Also great for concerts, parks, ice climbing trips, and general shenaniganry.

Your bootycheeks will thank you

Love this chair to take backpacking, to the park, doing field work, and general frolicking. It's nice and lightweight and is easy to attach to a pack when rolled up. Not a chair to hang out in all night long, but it's a great addition to have in your gear closet.

Easily packable and reliable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a solid chair when you are short on space. I use this for events where I'm sitting on bleachers and outdoor concerts. They pack easily into a bag or you can carry them relatively easy. These aren't as good as nicer chairs but for portability, they get the job done.

needs a handle

Wish it had a handle, but otherwise great

This is my second crazy creek. My first made it through years of abuse, and will get more after I get around to restitching a strap that broke.
Compared to the old adventure series, this chair is lighter and rolls up more easily, but lacks carry handles. Some times I like to stuff things inside my CC and use it like a basket to carry them around; handles help, but I suppose that I can just sew some in myself.
In general, CCs are awesome; if you spend a lot of time sitting around camp, they're a lot more comfortable than sitting on bare ground. Also, they work as a back-up ground pad if your thermarest decides to deflate.

Nice and light new chair from Crazy Creek

The Hex 2.0 line from Crazy Creek is the newest version of their light-weight series of camping chairs. This chair rolls up small and tight for carrying or packing to your favorite overlook, stream or campsite. Really lightweight, they are great for concerts or ball games too where you might be sitting on a bench or hard chair. We take ours everywhere.
