The Crank Brothers Mallet 1 Pedal lets downhill racers clip in for really rough tracks, and the full platform provides excellent traction when you can't get clipped after drifting a corner. Removable pins let you tune the amount of traction to your preference, and they can be replaced if you snap them off on a rocky section. While Crank Brothers created this pedal for ripping gnar on a nine-inch ride, the Mallet 1 also works great for riders who like to cruise singletrack and roll to the store on the same bike.
