Crank Brothers' Iodine 2 2in Wheelset is eye catching, courtesy of the unique twin-spoke design, but it's the killer combination of quality and price that'll really make you fall in love with it. Crank Brothers developed exceedingly high manufacturing, durability, and quality standards for the Iodine, and then proceed to exceed those standards by up to 150%, just in case. The 6061-T6 aluminum construction is totally bombproof and surprisingly light, so you can ride them on the most rugged trails around, and the 23mm internal rim width widens things out slightly to decrease rolling resistance and increase durability.

While there aren't very many spokes, the straight-gauge stainless steel provides loads of durability and helps keep the rim's weight at a svelte 1910g per set. Both front and back wheels are outfitted with Crank Brothers' smooth-spinning Iodine aluminum hubs, and each is set up to work with six-bolt disc brake rotors so you can handle long descents without fade and ride in wet weather without worrying about stopping power.
