Three types of warmth to battle the cold.
Rich wool, fuzzy fleece, and warm insulation work together to make the Women's Hepworth Jacket a Craghoppers favorite for fall, winter, and spring. Its wool exterior is smooth to the touch, and the quilted fleece lining slides over flannels with ease. Craghoppers also added hollowfiber insulation for more warmth without much added weight.

So Soft and Comfortable
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 12
I just received the jacket and it's not cold enough to test the insulation. I got the size 12 in Almond, and so far it's fantastic. It's not as stylish as more expensive wool coats, but the functionality is on point. I wear a size large in tops and 12 fits me like a glove. It's a tad too snug to wear a sweater underneath but I could layer a waffle shirt with no problem. The stitching is excellent, the wool outer material is softer than most wool coats, and the inner lining might just be the softest material to ever touch my skin. The coat is not heavy at all, and the colors are awesome. The lining is this reddish orange that contrasts so well with the outer color. There is also an inside pocket, which is so rare for women's clothing. I am very happy so far.
Cute, light, but too small
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: 4
When other reviews say a jacket runs large, a size 4 typically fits me. The size 4 in this jacket was far too tight in the shoulders, and, oddly, the forearms. I graduated to a size 6, and that was still too small in the aforementioned areas. Finally, because the jackets is pretty cute and I wasn't ready to give up, I ordered a size 8. It was still a little too snug in the shoulders so I returned it.
As far as the fabric goes, this is 100% wool and is lined, but it's a very thin layer of wool. This would not be an adequate jacket for Alaskan winters (my homeland), but the weight is on point for a chilly Palo Alto winter day.
The perfect winter coat!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: 8
The performance of this coat is on point. It is very comfortable to wear. The double zip is handy since the length is long and would otherwise be constricting while sitting/driving.
It keeps me warm throughout the cold and snowy Montana winters. I usually only wear one layer underneath and I am completely warm.
I initially ordered the tan/cream but decided to go with the grey instead. I love this color! The coat is attractive without being too dressy. I wear it everyday.
I gave it four stars because it runs a bit large. The only change I would make is to have ordered a size 6 instead of 8.
Being that this item is wool, what are the washing instructions? Is it dry-clean only?
