Simple weight loss.
The Craft Motion short keeps things simple to reduce weight and cost. For most rides (an hour or less) this is really all you need — durable Lycra for a little added support and a single-density pad insert to take the edge off.
The main body fabric is a durable Lycra with excellent elasticity. Not only does the Motion reduce fatigue by holding the muscles in place to protect from the road’s relentless vibration, it provides support while you’re asking your muscles to push harder and harder mile after mile. Wide leg hems are silicone printed to keep the bibs from moving around while you ride without the irritation of thin elastic.
Motion Shorts feature Craft's Active pad to keep you riding in comfort hour after hour. This pad insert is simple and lightweight. Not only does it provide support for your sit bones and cushioning for your soft tissue, it is also antimicrobial and moisture wicking to keep you cool and dry.
To finish off the Motion Short, Craft included reflective trim to make you more visible to motorists. This feature is especially helpful if your ride runs a bit longer than expected and you’re caught out on the road after dark.

Spin Class Companion
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I wear these shorts 2–3 times a week for spin class. They're certainly not as comfy or padded as my more expensive Castelli bib shorts, but they get the job done. The padding is decent for anything around 60–90 minutes. The higher cut across the back does an impressive job reigning in the ol' love handles. I do, however, have two complaints which is why I knocked the rating down to three stars:
* The padding has a seam where it ends near the front of the short, and that can sometimes chafe. (Some days I notice it, some days I don't).
* The padding across the backside tends to shift a little when you're out of the saddle, so sometimes you perform an awkward adjustment when you sit.
